I've been donating $25 a pop through Obama's campaign -- and I just hit the $200 mark tonight.
I know it's not much money in the big scheme of things, but it's a lot of money to me -- and is by far the most money I've ever donated to a campaign!
Let's all rally together and do everything we can these last few weeks to help the campaign! Whether it's donating money, making phone calls, knocking on doors, hanging information packets on doors, or even just wearing an Obama t-shirt -- let's all do something to help!
Can anybody point me to an official statement by Obama on his position regarding the Born Alive Infant Protection Act?

I'm finding plenty of right-leaning articles - but I would love to hear/read a detailed explanation from Mr. Obama, without the spin.
I'd also like to hear him explain why he voted "present" so often.
These are difficult actions to defend...
I was really active with the Obama campaign for the primaries, then this thing called life happened -- actually I got a new job that I actually enjoy and didn't have as much time for other stuff. So my activity level slipped...
Anyway, I'm looking to get active again and was shocked to find all my blog posts missing. I guess they delete stuff once it's a certain age? That sucks.
Well in the meantime, check out my personal blog at http://blog.thelifeofbrian.info - I've got campaign related stuff there too. ;-)

Why can't Obama even acknowledge the organizers of this debate? Especially since he's clearly got the nomination in hand -- these issues need to be addressed.
lol
Check out this dream I had last night:

Here are the results I received from our field organizer; slightly different than what I'd heard before, but the results are the same - a landslide victory for Obama!

I have to tell you straight up that I'm exhausted right now. I got to the convention around 11AM, and didn't leave last night until a few minutes after midnight -- and we had just (FINALLY) done the caucusing.
Here are the numbers as I know them at 10am 10/31:
Signing in at the convention we had a total of 1,660 delegates.
Of those delegates, 582 were for Clinton, and 1078 were for Obama.
I don't know how current/accurate this is, but according to these stats, Collin County came out with 55 Clinton delegates and 108 Obama delegates for Senate District 8, and 7 Clinton, 9 Obama in Senate District 30.
What took so long? Well it was supposed to start (call to order) at 1:30pm. I didn't even get registered (and elevated as a full delegate) until about 2:30. I think the official call to order was around 4:30, but it was very confusing - they had people campaigning, making speeches, trying to kill time I guess while everybody registered.
And then, since it was all done on paper, it took FOREVER to "tabulate" everything. You've got over 1800 people (including alternates & guests) sitting around WAITING and WAITING and WAITING.... There were several times when we almost had a mutiny. I'm sick of Roberts Rules of Orders too, people jumping on the mic with "Point of order!" or "Point of Information", constantly interrupting. It was INSANE.
I'm sure the system worked fine with fewer people --- but for this volume it was ridiculous.
They said 4 years ago there were 400 delegates & alternates participating in the convention. This year we had 3300.
I would dearly love to hear Barack respond to this story from TheRealNews.com
(video available at the link, transcript below)
I really wish Barack would get his "uh" under control...
here's an example of what I'm talking about
Some of you may be interested in hearing about this - I've been on the fence and attended Hillary's rally here in Dallas yesterday (Sat). I have uploaded some pics, videos, and commentary on it at http://dfwdraco76.blogspot.com/2008/03/hillarys-rally-in-dallas-yesterday.html.
I have since decided to vote for Obama....
