How is it that with all the brilliant minds in the Democratic party that we continue to allow right-wingers to win with their word?
I am getting at the Fight the Smears website. We have to learn to take away their words rather than refute them. The so called brilliant minds running the Kerry campaign let them cast him as a flip-flopper and NEVER took that term away from them.
Now it's Barack HUSSEIN Obama, He's a Muslim, Never been proud of my country, Cling to their bibles....etc etc. We CANNOT continue to explain these. Our candidate MUST take these terms and phrases and TAKE THEM AWAY!! He needs to do it himself, not a website.
How about, "I'm proud of my heritage and the name my parents chose for me. If others want to scare you with a name, just know that it's not me that they are scared of, it's all of you. They are afraid that you will see how scared they really are of the change you desire. They don't want change. They want the status quo........" Yadda Yadda Yadda.
I'm no speech writer as you can obviously tell but we have to own the words, turn them around so they can't be used against us. I am so tired of the namby pamby responses like this website.
Exxon Mobile Sales figures are obviously inflated due to inflated gas prices. You hear them crying about how they only make $.07 a gallon and yesterday Laura Ingraham defended them too. Here are some real numbers that cannot be discounted.

Granted he didn't really have anyone else to endorse, but I wonder why he took so long. Once Barack was the nominee (presumptive) it seems like that would have been the time or shortly thereafter.
Is Al "the establishment" or is he different. I certainly put him in a different category than say John Kerry but what is he going to do? Is he going to be campaigning and does anyone care about his message? Does his environmental work help or hurt his promotion of Barack? There will be those that will be immediately turned off by Gore. Perhaps one of his best uses would be to fire up the already converted and keep them motivated to actually turn out to vote.

Ok, so I am married to a Texas Democratic Woman that idolized Ann Richards. I'm glad I wasn't in yelling range when he made those comments. I have a distinct feeling that my lovely bride uttered a few choice words at the time.
Ok, I just liked the title of this post. Actually it was breakfast with a Hillary supporter; my sister. My sister is a little bitter with the whole Hillary thing. She is still commenting about when Hillary becomes President. I didn't get a chance to discuss further, but I can't POSSIBLY believe she would support McCain over Barack.
I better work on that just to be sure!
I was driving from Casper, WY to Denver when I learned of Tim Russert's passing. Of course it is a sad thing to hear of his passing. But I think maybe sadder is that as he lived and breathed politics, he just missed living to see the first black president.

Ok, I didn't catch the idiots name filling in on Glen Beck's Headline News show, but he made a REALLY stupid statement.
He said that about 80% of his Houston radio audience believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim. #1 what does that say about your audience? #2 what does that say about your poor capability to educate your audience.
