I'd like to begin by thanking you for joining us in this prayer event for Health Care Reform to commence at noon on Thursday, August 27th, 2009 and concluding at noon on Monday, October 5th, 2009.
Remember people of many cultures, religious beliefs and practices will be participating. Although I used the word "(God)" to denote the name of the "higher power" many other names can be substituted, so feel free to do so.
Prepare for event by finding a quiet place, and lighting a candle, if you wish. Staring at candlelight helps keep you focused on the process. Others may wish to close their eyes and visualize a bright, white light surrounding them. During the event, be sure to breathe deeply and become aware of the presence of your "higher power". Affirm this presence in your life, with "Let Go, Let (God)" or another affirming mantra. Inhale the peace and rejuvenative energy you seek and exhale the concerns of the day, to your "higher power".
During the minutes following prayer, meditate or visualize (positively) on the passage of health care/insurance legislation by Congress in 2009. Envision the signing of this legislation by President Barack Obama. Envision those at the signing, smiling and applauding their efforts to get health care/insurance reform passed. Envision victory celebrations around the country,- in red states and blue states. Envision national and international headlines proclaiming this great moment in America's history. Envision a healthier nation as we give access to affordable quality health care, with real consumer protections for all. Envision a health care/insurance marketplace which gives us choices that create competition and lowers costs. Envision what health care/insurance reform means to you and your loved ones. Also meditate on love and peace everywhere as this historic change will be challenging for some. Meditate on healing and compassion. These are just a few suggestions on how you can participate. *Note- Be sure to hold only Good thoughts and feelings during prayer, meditation, fasting and visualization, so that only Good comes into fruition.

I know each and every one of you worked your tails off and then some, for us during and after the most HISTORIC presidential campaign in modern America. There are no words available to express the gratitude I feel for your efforts, dedication, strength, camraderie, compassion and loyalty.
With your dedication we were able to elect President Obama and now the REAL Fight begins and we (ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA) could again use your brilliance to get Pres. Obama's Agenda PUSHED!!
As you are aware the BIGGEST FIGHT now is healthcare reform. We need many, many foot soldiers to help Pres. Obama get healthcare reform passed this year. The opposition is fighting back hard and with lots of muscle and dollars. And even though I'm lucky enough to be satisfied with the HC I have now( good employee benefit-hc free of charge..no premiums,and I pay only 5.00 co-pays and 5.00 for prescriptions)I'm in this fight for the uninsured and underinsured!!
So I'm begging (you do what you have to do) you to help us out at OFA...we could surely use you.

Hold visions of inaugural events, the Obama girls with the Biden grands playing with the Obama dog on the White house lawn and Barack signing his first bill as President. Also meditate on love and peace everywhere. Meditate on healing and compassion. These are just a few suggestions. Please be free to participate in your own positive way.

I am a Proud, kool-aid drinking (hey I love Kool-Aid) bitter, supporter of your Presidential bid and wish to take this opportunity to Thank You for inspiring me to re-engage in the political process and utilize my political POWER. Cynicism, doubt, division and fear of disappointment led me to political averseness and languor. However, you rendered your message of HOPE and I recovered my Voice. My voice promised to become one of millions of voices, if I believed, in my ability to bring about real Change.
Thank you for your ability to make me feel empowered to effectuate Change in my life, society, the world.
