Dear John McCain,
I am going to be going off to college next September, and my grandparents have graciously provided a college fund that has been doing well over the last couple years. Recently it was over $90,000, today my fund information came in the mail. I was completely devastated to learn that my college fund has lost $30,000 since the beginning of the year. I want to know what you can do to fix the economy so I can go to college next year, hundreds of thousands of young American's like myself do not want to hear your petty attacks on Barack. We want you to actually address the issues.
Barack Obama has come up with an extensive plan for the short term and long term health of our economy. I am tired of your attacks and all young American's going off to college next year will do everything within our power to make sure Obama is the next president of the United States of America.

Cindy McCain's outfit she wore last night to the convention was, according to Vanity Fair, estimated at $300,000. How can McCain and his wife in any capacity understand us, the middle class, when Cindy's outfit is worth more than the average middle class home?
I hope the campaign runs with this one.
"The fundamentals of the economy are strong", "Five million dollars is rich", and Cindy's outfit for the night costs more than the average middle class home.

If you pay attention to politics as a whole, you may have noticed that Ron Paul got second in Nevada during the primaries. Ron Paul is out of the race obviously, but his supporters will NOT vote for McCain, they will either go Bob Barr or Barack Obama. Ron Paul supporters can't morally vote for John McCain, so being that Mitt Romney got first, and Ron Paul got second, it could be that those Ron Paul supporters in Nevada could give the swing state to Obama. We could even try to make an appeal to the Paul supporters some how when campaigning in Nevada, it would be double trouble if those Ron Paul supporters not only don't vote for McCain but actually vote for Barack Obama.
There is a deep wedge between Paul supporters and McCain sdupporters, and Ron Paul supporters will in no way vote for McCain, ever.
In my state, Oregon, the election was chosen by 3,500 voters. To win Oregon, GOTV operations are extremely important.

We really need to run ads about McCain's horrible temper, his lack of knowledge of the economy, and continuing the Iraq war. Every action McCain executes against Obama needs a superior counteraction against McCain. We cannot hope that if we stay positive we will just win because we stuck to our word to stay positive unlike McCain. A negative campaign like McCain's in the end will beat a positive campaign unfortunately. If we can figure out how to be negative enough to counter, and we register voters, and revive that feeling of hope around the country, we have a really good chance.
COUNTERATTACKS! McCain's temper is vicious. McCain has no clue about the economy. McCain will continue the Iraq war.
If we kept the gold standard instead of creating the Federal Reserve which prints our money currently, we would be looking at vastly lower prices for oil. We need to get rid of the Federal Reserve and go back to the gold standard, where the value of your dollar would be protected. Allowing the Federal Reserve to print more money is the equivalent to letting the Federal Reserve take away value from the hard earned money in each and every American's pocket.
The Federal Reserve is a group of private banks that took over the printing of our money in 1913 with legislation passed by Congress. The Federal Reserve is as federal as Federal Express, it has no real accountability to the government. We have been warned by many leaders of this country that central banks are a bigger threat to our freedom than standing armies.
When the Federal Reserve System was set up in 1913 they started printing money that was not actually backed by anything of real substance. When extra money is put into the system that doesn't have any value in itself it causes inflation. Inflation does not hurt the people who use it first, but it does hurt everyone in the end. Inflation robs you of your money's value, printing money without any backing takes purchasing power away from every dollar you have in your pocket.
The major reason behind our current crisis is inflation. Dollars today only have the purchasing power of $0.04 compared to 1912 dollars, before the Federal Reserve was set up. In the past four years the dollar has lost 40% of its value. There is a point where the dollar could hit absolute zero, and that is a scary thought, but it is completely possible. If we allow the Federal Reserve to keep printing money, we could see hyper-inflation in no time.
The average American has no idea of how bad the system really is right now. Since President Bush has been in office, he has asked the Federal Reserve to print over $4 trillion extra dollars and circulate them into the system. I beg for you to see reason, I beg you to ask Obama to address this issue. The Federal Reserve has served its purpose, and now that is only a source of our monetary problems, it must be purged.
I hope that you would want to hear the truth, I hope you are not one of the many people in our society that would rather just have a good story told to them. Everyone wants to feel good inside, but denying the truth to have that feeling is only going to worsen the problem in the end. I tried to deny the real reasons for our economic woes, but now I have come to my realization of the truth.
Speculation maybe accounts for 25% of the rise in oil prices, but otherwise the rest of it has been caused from inflation, by printing money. Gold prices are on the rise as many of you know, the problem is gold is static, the price of gold is not going up, the dollar is going down. If you take a graph of gold prices, and a graph showing inflation of the dollar, they match, almost precisely. Naturally when the dollar goes down, gold goes up. I know it is hard to wrap your mind around the concept as it was just as hard for me to grasp at first. Gold is not going up in reality, the Federal Reserve is printing more money that is being put on top of the supply, inflation then sets in and it takes more dollars to purchase the same amount of gold because the dollars are worth less.
In the coming weeks when you are going to the historical platform meetings across this country, I beg you to bring up the issue of the Federal Reserve System. It has caused so many of our problems that we currently face. We can no longer ignore the source of the main problem in our economy today, and that is inflation. Go out and educate yourself further, read up on the Federal Reserve. Its purpose has long been served and it is time to put the Federal Reserve to rest.

I can't even explain how happy and excited I am right now! I have excruciating joy getting involved with this campaign for change! I am going to be donating a lot of money to this campaign, I've already donated everything I could, but I realized I can donate even more! I'll cut back on my extra spending, that soda that I want... do I really need it? Well I know that Obama could use even an extra $1.25! Every little nickel and dime I give will be used to fight the republican cash machine. Obama needs us, but more than that, WE need US! Donate! Donate! Donate! I know that if we have Obama in the White House that he will make it right again! I know I want things to be right again, and I know you want it to be right again as well. Together in our massive numbers we can all yell we want change! We can get involved! We can donate! We can actually change Washington!

I am a senior at West Albany High School in Albany, Oregon. I am excited to finish my last year of high school and move on into the big world. One big part of my life right out of high school like many others striving for the "American Dream", is college.
I was blessed enough to have grandparents who graciously started a college trust fund for me years ago. I have always made sure to thank them for this more than amazing gift they have given to me. Over the years my college fund has grown by thousands of dollars each year; late last year the fund was just over $90,000.
Here is where the story twists; due to President Bush's policies my college fund has lost over $10,000, just this year! There are now over 10,000 more reasons for me to support Barack Obama, and 10,000 reasons to do everything in my power to make sure John McCain does not win in November.
I know that I cannot afford another four devastating years of the same economic policies as Bush. I am confident there are millions of other American's that cannot afford it either. Stop Bush-McCain policies so that once again we may prosper.
To McCain: My $10,000 is not part of some "mental recession", this is proof of you and Bush's failed economic policies. I think I speak for the American people when we say, we are in a recession, and us, the American people will do everything we can to make sure Barack Obama is the next President of the United States of America!
I will donate today, and as I do, I will remember all of my fellow American's suffering from Bush and McCain's terrible policies. Donate today for our future! YES WE CAN!
