I was talking with my mom just now, who lives in a town full of Clinton supporters. They are still pushing the "words and actions" thing to anyone who will listen, and I made a connection I hadn't before.
I brought up a Daily Show interview I watched a couple weeks back about the Lincoln-Douglas debates. You can watch it here!
Previously unknown politician comes out of nowhere, known only for his great oration... I'd say Obama has more experience than Lincoln did when he ran for President.
I can't believe the media give weight to Clinton's argument rather than knocking her down with examples like this. Go ahead and remind your friends that a skilled orator can be an historic president!
"As a state Senator in Illinois during the 2002 session, Barack Obama introduced SB 1789 which would have adopted IRV for state primary elections, local elections, and special elections." fairvote.org
Will Obama bring fair voting to national elections as well?
Obama's lack of a clear message on the topics I'm interested in (the drug war and NAFTA) has sent me looking to other candidates, but if he supports IRV I will be all to eager to vote for him in the primaries.
