There is much talk about the Obama tax increase for persons who make $250,000.00 per year. I think there is confusion over what this figure actually represents. There is a big difference between a person who grosses $250,000.00 per year but, after deducting operating expenses, only nets $100,000.00 and a person who actually nets $250,000.00 per year. I think we could do a lot to clarify this for voters. After seeing "Joe the plumbers" house I am convinced he either does not net $250,000.00 per year or that he has several other properties.

Geraldine Ferraro states, "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." When confronted on her comments she followed up by saying, "Any time anybody does anything that in any way pulls this campaign down and says let's address reality and the problems we're facing in this world, you're accused of being racist, so you have to shut up," Ferraro said. 1. Other Black men have run for the White House and have not done nearly as well as Barack.
2. If Barack, as a woman of any color, could not be in the position he is in, how do you account for Hillary's success?
3. Who is the "they" who are attacking Ms. Ferraro for being White? It sounds as though she is suggesting everyone in the Obama campaign is Black.
As a White man I am offended by Geraldine Ferraro's comments and think she should resign. Send a fax to the Clinton campaign demanding her resignation:

Of course, there are some good first names too. Millard, Abraham, Hirum, Abram. They all sound pretty fanatical to me, don’t you think? You know Islam emerged from the seed of Abraham. Perhaps, Barack should change his name. Yes. There is even precedent for the President changing from whom he was born. Did you know Ulysses S. Grant was born Hirum Ulysses Grant? He only became U.S. Grant because it sounded like U.S.A. Oh, and Clinton. Bill Clinton was born Bill Blythe. Barack Obama: "Hillary seems to talk with two faces, not that she's necessarily two faced...at least she's not two faced as far as I know. Still, in one breath she says I don't have the experience to be Commander and Chief while in the next breath she says I should be her running mate. Frankly, I find that breath rather offensive. Forget the fact that I lead in the polls, have more delegates than her, have obtained more of the popular vote, and have won more states, which would put me at the top of any ticket, but, you cannot have it both ways Hillary. You cannot say I don't have the experience to be Commander and Chief then suggest I be your running mate when the quintessential test for VP is; Can this person stand as what? Commander and Chief! In what parallel universe does this make sense? Besides, a Commander and Chief with good judgment doesn't authorize a misguided trillion dollar war in Iraq when the enemy is in...Afghanistan. So now what? Its 3:00 a.m., your children are in bed and a phone rings in Washington. Iran has just tested a nuclear bomb...I know let's invade Canada! They've got all the Maple Syrup."

Some think Barack should engage Hillary by becoming more aggressive. I think this would be a mistake. In time, Hillary tends to reap what she sows when she goes negative on Barack and I think he would experience the same if he returned the favor. Besides it would further hurt the party.
What he can and should do is continue to highlight the inconsistencies that Hillary presents herself. "Additionally, when we've both said that we would not stand for negative campaigning I meant it. When Ms. Powers called Senator Clinton a Monster I accepted her resignation immediately. When her staff makes remarks and comments about me they accept excuses. It's almost as if they are debating what the definition of 'is' is. When one of her campaign staff made a reference to his concerns about my activity on the streets of Chicago he was clearly making a drug reference which I addressed in my book Dreams of my Father.
