I have been working the "neighbor to neighbor" phone banking for weeks now. The biggest complaint I am getting is from "older folks" that do not have a computer. They want information on when debates will be held with BIDEN & PALIN. They do not have access to a computer and are kind of offended. They feel "out of touch" with the campaign.
My thought is this: After I canvassed in Pennsylvania, I received a recorded "thank you" message on my landline voicemail from Senator Obama. This would be a great way to contact those on "the list" as an Obama supporter, of the exact times and dates of upcoming debates.
Also, I am getting "older" (55-80) people) that are just furious that Biden is not getting enough media attention. They wanted me to pass this on, and this is my only way of getting their concerns heard. I am trying to help everyone and remind them, that what the media covers, or does not cover is not something I can fix.
I have to agree, that I have only seen Biden on one time and it was only for 5 minutes. They think Biden should handle Palin and OBAMA should stick with just McCain. Some people go on for 10-15 minutes, and I allow them to vent.
People on the phone also do not think Barack is aggressive enough on the character assasinations by McCain, and also McCain insisting Barack does not "reach across partty lines." They feel Barck is not defending these obvious lies.
It is amazing how, as the election gets closer, people are getting more passionate and also very ANGRY at the way the OBAMA campaign is allowing this slander to continue.
I also got yelled at by one lady, because I did not know the dates of every single debate between Obama & McCain and Biden & Palin. Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff. She did want a return call about the debates, so I took her number, and will try and research this for her. In the meantime, if there is a link or something I missed to access this, please educate me. I am not perfect, but I am trying in my spare time, to do what I can.
Thanks for any help or direction with these issues. Also, if someone knows how to contact the OBAMA HQ, and make these issues brought to light (especially the lack of internet) it would make people calm down and feel part of the campaign. Some are feeling left out due to their age and not being technologically up-to-date.
Somehow it seems that this pit-bull with lipstick deems it necessary to reproduce to ensure we have enough bodies for this 100 year war.

I have been "working the phones" all day today (my ACTIVITY Score went to a 10) Anyway, the main concern is: EVERYONE BELIEVES the election will be rigged. In other words, the REPUBLICANS will cheat and rig the machines to favor the clear losers.....the Republicans.
We must insist that the machines work. Me must insist that in the event of a "glitch" the polls remain open longer so EVERY VOTER GETS TO VOTE. No more, oops it's 8PM and the doors close even though we opened late and the we ran out of paper. NOT ON OUR WATCHES.
This year the stakes are too high. This year we have someone that really wants CHANGE. This year we want ALL our VOICES and VOTES heard. This year is the year for CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

I have been involved with calling OBAMA supporters (Connecticut) in regard to the way they would like to volunteer. EVERYONE WANTS A YARD SIGN. I also directed them to www.barckobama.com and mybarackobama.com and encouraged them to sign up for EVENTS by entering their zip codes, and getting email alerts, joining groups and hopefully some on-line donations.
I wanted everyone to know the following: I called a man that happened to be a Police Officer. He wrote a complaint to Obama HQ about a problem with port-a-potties somewhere (he did not say) He thinks this is how his name ended up on OBAMA'S list of supporters.
He in no uncertain terms: WANTS HIS NAME OFF THE LIST, HATES OBAMA, HATES DEMOCRATS, and ALL police (LIKE WALMART) have an ongoing "CODE" not to VOTE OBAMA!!! He wanted me to type a message into my COMMENTS section of my phone list (which I did) He was rude, mean, and made it clear that ALL POLICE HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED BY THEIR PRECINCTS TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN!
Other than that, everyone I spoke with were not really interested in canvassing in other states, BUT, will volunteer with on-line phone banking, so they can do it when they have time. One lady said: "I want to do what your doing right now" So, I gave her the www.mybarackobama.com website, told her to log in and then click on "neighbor to neighbor".....

I live in Connecticut. We are SUPPOSE to be the Constitution State....LOL..what a joke. I call it the State of Corruption. The town I live in is commonly known as Manchester, but we all have another name...KLANCHESTER.
The past several days I have been wearing one of several BARACK OBAMA pins. I have never heard so many people approach me and blantantly say: "YOUR VOTING FOR THAT "N*****!" WOW, and these people call themselves AMERICANS? They claim to be good CHRISTIANS? Are they kidding me?
The biggest obstacle Barack is going to have is his race: As a 48 year old caucasian woman, married to a Jamaican National (He is also a US Citizen now) and having a BIRACIAL son, I am stunned at these remarks.....I am also saddeded, to still see people so ignorant, racist, bigotted, hypocritical, UNAMERICANS, voting on the color of ones skin, instead of the issues to which the choose to stand for.
There is not one single thing to say to people whose minds are stuck in a history we are so trying to get past. I am so offended and ashamed to live in a country that closes their minds to the only person that can possibly save us~

With that being said, why is the McSame campaign suddenly using Baracks slogan "CHANGE" as his message? The guy has been in Washington for many years, and he has a sudden epifamy to CHANGE the way Washington has done business?
If family is suppose to stay out of the campaign, then why was it OK for the REPUBLICANS to bash Michelle Obama? If Obama's daughters became pregnant, Baracks campaign would be over. If Joe Biden was under investigation for "abuse of power" the day Barack released his choice, his campaign would be over. There is a very blatant "double standard" going on right in front of us, and it all smells like racism to me.
Bristols "baby-father's" body language screams "get me outta here". It is quite evident that Mz. Palin is forcing this marriage. She condones "abstinence", but failed to get that message through in her own home. His MYSPACE page was suddenly "removed"? Bristols "baby-father" clearly wrote on his MYSPACE page "I DO NOT WANT KIDS". Sarah Palin is selfish and controls everything for the sake of herself. She does not put her family first, so how can she put our "COUNTRY FIRST?"
Neither John McCain nor Sarah Palin ever used the words "middle-class", education, economy or Iraq in their speeches. They have neither substance or issues at heart. It is a campaign purely based on attempted smearing of Senator Obama....and it all stinks like dog feces.....with lipstick~

Canvassed in Bethleham Pennsylvania....2 of us banged off 120 homes.
Canvassed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for an entire WEEKEND plus I went to two RALLIES.
Anyone know who fixes this? I wrote 3 SUPERDELAGATE letters to WASHINGTON.
The only thing that is correct is the amount in total I have donated.........

I have been sent a survey on my volunteering time. What i did and where I went. I also signed up to work the General Election. I am ready to go anywhere as long as I get a ride. I had 2 surgeries in 6 months from a DUI (not my fault) but will be ready for the fall to do anything for OBAMA.
I am sorry to say that the GLASTONBURY OBAMA group has treated me terribly. I forwarded an email to all my contacts. IT WAS NOT MEY EMAIL....it was a joke and I apologized, but they decided to bash me nonetheless.

A lovely group of woman worked the phone list from 6:30PM-8:30PM. We are ALL going on Monday to see PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA in HARTFORD. Plan to get there VERY early as it will be packed. It was amazing to hear how misinformed some were on the phones. Some think Obama voted for the war??? It was great to give the correct information. Some are deciding at the poll on tuesday. "YES WE CAN" change AMERICA...THE TIME IS NOW for a fresh face in Washington. Obama EMBRACES ALL RACES~
Keep the momentum going and get the word out. A new USA is on the horizon~
