I've been absent here, I forgot I had an account, until I donated last night to the campaign to stop the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and Indiana Congressman Mike Pence from trashing our President.
I have been to New York Maryland, West Virginia Pennsylvania Virginia Tennessee to the borders of the Alabama state line, and to New Jersey, Ohio Indiana and Illinois. In every hotel lobby or breakfast area every hotel I have visited, mainly the comfort suites, (Clarion Hotel) and the Budget Inn, Holiday Inn and Hampton inn and let’s not forget the Hilton, they all air Fox news. I was so disgusted by watching Bill O’Reilly in the morning in a place near Knoxville TN, on a Saturday morning with a breakfast and Lobby packed with other viewers that I asked the hotel employee if I could change the channel to the weather, I found Headline news one channel up and left it there.
There must be something up with this deal. Perhaps Rupert Murdock gives free cable to these hotels. I am sure its somewhere about money, why else would all these places put fox on their tv’s for public viewing?? I feel a discredit to the country to continue to mystify every move Our President is making, especially when George Bush was absent throughout his last year and certainly during his last months, in office.
Republicans are having a problem with their party’s alliances and are separate by conservatives and irrationalizing their own appointed leaders.
It proves that they are separate and only for themselves and not the people who keep them in office, yet the people are rather ignorant when it comes to Obama. An eight year old little girl who was actually a person of color living in Lewisburg, TN, saw my Obama/Biden Magnet on my car and told me that she believed President Obama was a terrorist.
Education starts through the hearts of our young, why do you think Hitler created the YOUTH? Most of the lies that spread are still out there. I feel the children should be aware of the issues too. My son has been involved in Obama’s campaign as he sat next to me during most of the internet blog viewing, and when I showed him the speech President Obama made in New Mexico at a teachers union, asking for longer hours in the class room and holding our children to a higher standard, my son said, oh nooooooo….. Because President Obama said that this idea would not make him popular with children as he asked for an education system that is closely to the one in Europe.
On the campaign trail, when asked what John McCain ever did, and one of his spokesperson said he gave us this. Pointing to the blackberry, perhaps there was some truth to the communications reform. I’ll take another look at how they regulate the laws. Most of these cases would be slander.

Today I wake up to see that I didn't get what I wanted for christmas, which is and always will be love and peace. I don't understand the continuing drama that plays out with Obama, who has always been firm about nodrama. I love this man with all my heart, not because he has done anything yet, but I can see all that he will rally us all to do.
I really wish the republicans would let it rest because it will not divert from there own shame. Speaking of shame Rev. Jesse Jackson should be ashamed, to be so green with envy and get the Gov. Blagojevich involved with this transisiton of President Obama. Shame on those living in the LGBT that continue to make a 3 minute inovation a huge rally to be bashing our next President before his first day. I'd shame the press too for the swim suit picture, but admit I liked it.
With all the woes of our world, the united states on the economic verge of collapse, our country still has this US vs THEM mentality that I guess I will never understand. We are all one in connection, and that is why no one will push the button first, because it will end our world and all mankind. We went to war, or was tricked into war but what is done is done. We can't keep fighting amongst our selves without seeing a global down fall. We don't have to agree, but why do we have to have continue to push our views down other peoples throat, when we all know that it doesn't bring us anywhere but further apart.
I wonder why it is so hard just to have some Peace on Earth. Doesn't everyone want this?
I wonder why people want to play eachother and treat us all like we are in a game of chess instead of goodwill. It saddens the earth and what ever god you worship or don't worship, do you think man should continue this game of give and take take take?
I blog here today after reading a piece about the RNC and a snow man song. My first reaction was cyber space screaming "GROW UP!" My goodness. I mean I can't beleive that adults actually behave this way, and I want to shame them all for knowing better, yet not doing better. Its not funny at all. We continue to have a world apart, and look what that gets... no peace.
This election has inspired hope in me. Our President-elect has given me something to beleive in, probably saved my life in some ways. As this year has passed I feel blessed that we were going in that direction but for the last six weeks, those who can't just let it be an easy transition, put more and more on what already is a total error in choice of the CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.
Thank goodness that this new year begins in less than a week, I am so PSYCHED, and still going to be inspired by all of you and I still beleive that it can happen. We've come so far, already.
When I signed on to mybarackobama, I never realized that they were still keeping a profile score. It was sad to see that I slipped passed the 10 mark, which I held on to since this website gave us the numbers.
I signed on here everyday, during the election. Used the phone bank, signed up for events, donating when ever I could and would read every story from the community blog and posted to the blog, rambling mostly. I left my comment on other blogs, who were not rambling.
Today with a 1 status, I wanted to say a thank you to all of those who kept working to help Obama win this election. I will try to keep my ramblings short, but because of all of you and President - elect Barack Obama, I have a very special story to share.
Since 1997, every year I get an angel ornament for our christmas tree. The angel represents my mother who died 11 years ago. My son who is now 9 years old, never met mom, but he knows about our tradition and it is a very special one for our family. I have been sick lately, and not able to get that angel this year for the tree. My son elementary school had a Hoiliday Store for the children to buy gifts to their parents. So I gave my son a few dollars, and told him to remember his father... That afternoon he came home and told me he had a surprise for me., he had not remembered his father, but used the money to purchase the most beautiful angel bell, i ever did see. I know it was only a couple of bucks but it was so moving.
Why do I post it here? Because that angel ornament was a bigger gift than what anyone might expect from a nine year old boy with golden hair and big blue eyes. My son chose it because he thought she looked like President - elect's First Lady, Michelle Obama., Yes she was of color, and I cried tears of joy when I heard my child tell me why he picked it out for our tree.
Folks, my son does not know the difference in skin color. He is 9 years old. We are united by our love and hopes for all races. With such prejudice that still exist, my own prayers have been answered that i have raised a child to be so loving and accepting. And I know it is because of all of you and especially because of the president elect Barack Obama.

I am watching the reports on the latest terror attack and the news out of Mumbai, India. It sounds very devestating and as I watch this horror, I am reminded that our own lives have been warned by the Feds of a possible attack in NYC. . The Associated Press says the FBI has received a "plausible but unsubstantiated" report that al-Qaida terrorists in late September may have discussed attacking the subway system. LINK HERE
Not living far from NYC, and having once worked in the Wtc, I wish I had been able to blog what I felt the days before 9/11. So today my gut tells me that if the plot is carried out that it would take place on what we know as BLACK Friday, 11.28.08 I hope that our homeland security is prepared for whatever might happen, including my paranoia!!! :) I know the economy is bad and we need retail sales and this friday is important, but put your self in the mind of the enemy, what will they do if anything.
My prayers go out to the family and friends living and visiting India, who have thrown into a nightmare an ocean away, I feel your pain, so we are connected in some way. I hope that those responsible will be apprehended and justice will be served. May the lives of all will begin to heal!

I had forgotten my blog space here since President-elect Obama won the election.
I just want to remind all what we have to be thankful as we sit and celebrate our Thanksgiving Holiday. I know its cliche to say count our blessings, but when we think about the past 18 months and what we have done to make history, our country is our biggest blessing. Yes its bad on all corners of the world, but we have so much to be thankful for, especially for the new President & Vice President. I have not looked forward to entering the new year and to the day its all official, than I have this winter!
May all of you feel as blessed as I do and Have a Thankful Thanksgiving Day.
BTW, not sure it is a good pick for Secretary of State especially if the constitution makes it illegal to do so regarding the salary law.. Perhaps Senator Clinton can go into the job without a salary?

I thought it was a Halloween Trick to see the California Governor out in Ohio yesterday, pulling for Senator Mc Cain. I can honestly say that I didn’t see that one coming. Hmmmm, thinking out loud, not Arnold! I mean, I thought he was for conserving the environment? Education? And Immigration?????
Most of the Republicans have shunned their own candidate, too worried about their own safety net seat in Congress. John McCain took the advice from the pages of Lexington, and heeded on the notion that his new Motto would be oh no, were going to have a majority of Democrats in the house or senate? Instead of like it has been since Bush, 50/50 split, or worse where it has been the Republicans with the majority seats and nothing getting done.
Well I don’t know about the people that take a stand for us on Capitol Hill…. Well some of the ones I do know about are the ones that have been in the press, and usually that’s from Bad Behavior and that's been true on both sides. I also know, as most of the nation is at consensus with, that nothing has been getting done in Washington. And we need a Majority. Just look at us and look at where our elected government has taken us, as a nation. One city comes to mind, New Orleans...
What does that say about us as a nation on a whole, as the people who support those we elect? This is why this election has been so important to me. Why Barack and Joe are really making it different. More than any other president elect in forty years. And it says to all those other countries watching us, that as I quote Twisted Sister, “We’re not going to take this, NO we’re not going to take this, we’re not going to take this ANYMORE!!!!!!”
I don’t know why we as a nation have become the leaders of the world, why Europe and Asia and South America, well in most countries look to us and our news for their own… what happens in the USA is headline news for the world. While the same countries only become headlines in our AP news, is when devastation strikes them! I guess to say hey we need the USA’s help here. Because we do help, and we are blessed in so many ways… why do they watch us? What are they waiting for?

No time to be complacent. We have to do everything necessary to make sure the Democrats win this election. I'll be making phone calls this weekend, and on election day will be driving people to the polls. After its all over and our new President Barack Obama is in the white house, we will all work harder doing what ever it takes to bring this country back to its core values, which is;

To think it was only 10 months ago when I was still undecided. I gave John McCain a chance when he was in the republican primaries, its true. I thought he was the best candidate on the Republican side, even though he was the oldest, obviously not the oldest in the Senate. When he said as he was elected as the party's nominee; that he would run a honorable and respectable campaign, ya know I sincerely beleived him! It didn't take long after before he was saying one thing and doing another. Still with only 7 days to go, he keeps spelling out how God "awful" his opponent is. I often wonder if he was running against Hillary if he had gotten so damn disrespectful?
Of course now his V.P. selection is being called a "Diva"! Can't say I didn't see that one coming!! Well all I have to say is, "Go Diva Go!" Palin has been accused of not being very uhm, trying to put it nicely.. bright.. but it didn't take Palin long before she disagreed with the politics of McCain's campaign, ALSO! Good for Sara Palin, though I am still not over the wolves being slaughtered (or banning books, or your extremist views)... hypocrit!
The one thing McCain did in the beginning that really lost me, was he stopped talking about what he would really do as President. We hear the words, Maverick and Country First, so that leads me to believe that all of Washington, has really been aware of how corrupt the government has become in eight years?? Uhm, I don't remember when it wasn't!!!
Barack Obama called it out as soon as he stepped foot on Capitol Hill. I think everyone does when they want votes, but he stood up to the president about this War in Iraq and we all know where that has led. John McCain wants the war to continue until Victory. Everyone knows that there is no victory in invading a foreign country for accusations which were not proven!!
Yet John McCain with only 7 days to go.... still only babbles on about Obama, he has yet to tell us what he will do to bring real change. Claiming he is the underdog, he keeps dogging the democrats, as if he is at odds because he is the republican on the ballot!!
I am generally a fair person, yet I’ve been tested time and time again, and feel I have withstood many trials and survived many tribulations. Regardless of what others have subjected me too as a innocent bystander, I can honestly say I feel no hate in my heart for anyone. I don’t believe we gain anything from feeling such disregard for others no matter how low they go in their life choices and how tragically that might effect us.
Now that statement is out the way.. I have been once again tested with the matters of the heart. What does this have to do with the election, well I had a photo bucket account and someone inserted an awful photo tag, (which I have yet learn the ins and outs of) in a picture of my sweetest 8 year old little boy’s face! I will not repeat what it said here, but when doing a self google, I found it. And it pointed to a AWFUL POLITICAL HATE WEB SITE.
I say this because the email that I use here when signing on to this website, which I thought was protected and private is shared only with the photobucket account. Its not a member to any other site and is shared only with family friends!!! ( I suggest everyone do a selfgoogle with their own email account that they used signing on this website).
So Today is day 8, and I will make two promises right now before we come to November 5, when Barack Obama is President.
# 1. I will learn how these ’photo tags’ work and figure out why people anonymously insert them into innocent children’s faces.. and so forth.
#2. I will state on the record, and since what I’m about to write breaks all of my cardinal rules about life’s golden rule, do unto others as you want done to yourself, and never hold a grudge along with an additional, find forgiveness for those who lack compassion and empathy to forgive themselves…. I will make this promise, you mess with my cub that burns me, and I am like a mama bear, however, I’ll over look it this one time! The one thing I will not over look are the words attached to the picture, and your awful hate site, and though I have reported it to the proper authorities,
I will promise this one thing also, since you went beyond anything I have ever imagines, anything happens to our champion, (if he even stubs his toe!!) or as the words of HATE suggested… I promise (not a threat), May god have mercy on your soul!
I was surprised to read that Sara Palin spent a small house in Texas on her wardrobe. Hey but who wouldn't when all you have is flannels in your closet? Yet this is big news every where on every network! I ponder why that is just the price people are baffled at. the best journalist out there do not really report why Palin's wardrobe malfunction has just batted the eyes of how much and not about why????
What is even a bigger surprise is that even the RNC gets it.

I just can't beleive that the media doesn't see through the facade, on so many levels... Leave it to Joan Clever! Talk about taking the view of the world back to 1950's values! And don't get me started on that racist crap that is every rally McCain Palin hold!

So many predictions where to begin.. The McCain camp predicts that Barack Obama is right where Senator McCain wants him. McCain himself claims defeat will lead back to the good life he has in Arizona. The Media predict an October surprise holding their breath for something new to report, the GOP predicts that McCain’s pick of Palin will hurt the GOP. Wrong,Wrong, Wrong and SO WRONG.
First, the Mc Cain camp does not have OBAMA where they want him. The Republicans are behind in the polls, even those who are up for reelection that thinks their seats in congress are safe are going to say good bye DC!!! LOL
John McCain will not go back to the cushy life he had before coming into the race. Cindy still has a prenup, and he doesn’t treat her well despite the monthly clothing allowance. As I said before if the Navy never made him admiral and his wife which he committed an affair with on a first wife who had his children and so forth, that is the character of a not so nice person… except when I read about those who knew John McCain before he got nasty in this election, reports say he was a decent man and good family man and not a elitist!
If McCain had picked trader Joe, he would be far more behind in the polls, thanks to the Christian Conservatives. Lets bring up this faith you are all so proud of and then ask your campaign why you spread HATE?
Gay rights, Environmental rights, Rights to Immigration, rights to have a accountable GOVERNMENT.. the Media should start reporting where this election is going if McCain really wins. Oops forgot you're being cesored by not getting question's answered! Straight talk... lets just think about how all our rights and personal freedoms will be stripped from us as citizens if McCain/Palin win in November(which they won't)!
John in the debate said he would freeze ALL GOVERNMENT spending. I know many of you out there don’t believe in free lunch however this would cut the national school lunch program for children living under the medium income. How can you say you will starve children? Some of those children eating that free lunch, its their only meal of the day. And if you don’t believe me ask your ‘friends’ at ABCDISNEY, they did a heart wrenching report regarding a town in CAMDEN NJ, come to CAMDEN JOHN,where the poverty and crime is in the streets way before the economy went south.
I read also that Senator Joe Biden is predicting too, perhaps its lack of sleep, his wife’s grief for her passing mother, and now the reports on Barack Obama’s grandmother, he is thinking in moral substance?
I suppose Joe also decided to give Palin new material, since she can’t think of any other link to Obama terrorist accusations than Bill Ayers. I think if I were bill ayers and I had my name slungged around, I’d file a defamation of character suit. Where is the justice in the courts if someone can only be tried and convicted for the same crime over and over again in McCain's campaign?
I have always been one to believe to PLAN for the worse and HOPE for the best. Joe better be wrong about President Obama, unless a meteor is out there headed for Earth. Or perhaps in invasion from another Galaxy that’s in our future? I predict a time when wars end and peace begins healing. We may all be up for something beyond man’s control, but we were warned about this already for years. It won’t be in the first 6 months, it will take a few years for Peace to really happen, but we are on our way to securing it with a Obama Presidency.

Anyone computing their income with their filing status will see how much we all save under OBAMA/Biden. I admit i was taken off guard with the first number, that showed a better savings under (gulp) Mc Cain (that was a glich in the system, now corrected), and when I entered my adult children & their incomes and filing status, it shows EVERYONE WINS under Obama's Plan!
If you are working for 10.00 an hour, and I pray that if you are reading this you really are making more than that, because no one knows better than the IRS that you can't live on 1600 a month at least not when rents are half the income, forget buying you won't qualify for much on that income. The current minimum wage is even less than that. And Poverty... Just look at the August 2008 update of poverty rate in this country? Here is the link (opens in new window).
Even middle class families struggle to keep their heads above water. We are all better off with A Obama/Biden presidency than under A McCain/Palin administration! Tonights debate will prove that once and for all! John McCain likes to bait and switch a lot. I think he once said he'd run a respectable campaign.. yeah right! As far as the Palin rallies that have created complete and total RACISM well that is despicable. Her true character shows while she keeps stumbling on her words and complete radical views of what AMERICA on both sides of the party, represent. She and her acting Governor Hubby wanted Alaska to become independent from the USA does that say anything to anyone? She is planning a pipe line that will further destroy the environment, while every man woman and child get oil money from the oil companies, each year since 1974. If John McCain had not picked this woman he might have some respect, but I find her antics most appaling thing I have heard in this election or any election in history. Well that and the media saying Barack Obama would need a Food tester if Hillary was selected as his VP.
Full moon tonight shining down on us democrats! I don't think that Barack Obama will just be the next president, he will be the next BEST PRESIDENT of our time!
I am so proud of my oldest child who appears in the following video. I had her when I was just 16 married her father and had two more babies before 21, the marriage ended after 12 years, and I raised the three alone, without anyones help, not even child support. This is why in her video she speaks about who she feels represents her. And she is living proof of what seemed to be so challenging to me (having a babies so young and poor), but it was merely an optical illusion to the rest of the world. No one knew how hard it was keeping our family together. (Yes my son also enlisted in the Marines in 2005) Did I mention that my daughter also was recently inducted into the National Honor Society and graduated at the top 10% of her college class?

Predicts that kindness goes along way in this state. Remember the electorial map shows the state of TN is a red state however the former Mayor of Nashville and Now Governor Phil Bredesen is a democrat. Don't forget that Satarn and Niasan have a plant in Nashville. Belmont is Great University, but I think it is consider a private school with high regard to entertainment degrees. The stuff happening in the world today make great 'country' songs! Seriously I have never missed my kin and Nashville TN, more than I do tonight.
Don't forget to thank the troops they like the fight! This is a state of volunteers!

Gee I have a 9 year old boy, does the McCain camp want to pick him apart too? I can not imagine the relationship an 8 year old should have with such " radical figures like unrepentant domestic terrorist Ayers." Guess I better watch my son's friends and our neighbors a little closer. Are we getting Paranoid now? Or just distracting cuz there is no real plan for the change we need? Excuse me, J. McCain is in no position to attack, he has THE KEATING5 and we still are waiting for the results of the Trooper gate scandle. Though I do think what this Gov. is doing to wolves is criminal in itself!

The point I am trying to make is that the USA now looks really stupid to the rest of the world, and we need to restore the respect of our allies and yes even those who are not, and who are living in other parts of this planet.
John McCain may have done this if elected IF ONLY he had used better judgment selecting his VP. cuz we all know he picked a "she" to get the Clinton supporters on his side. McCain judgement and how he is perceived to world leaders and is right next to the current administration So putting it that way, I guess McCain views Americans just like they do across the globe. & that white flag of surrender stated, just tells you how McCain's mind is set for doing anything to win.
