"The legislation was an update to existing sex education standards. It called for "medically accurate" and "age and developmentally appropriate" information in classes teaching various aspects of sex education from kindergarten through high school. It did not spell out specific class content. It also said no student could be required to take or participate in sex education classes if parents objected.
One part of the legislation called for teaching children "how to say no to unwanted sexual advances." Obama's campaign has said the passage referred to teaching very young children how to recognize and report inappropriate touching or unwanted advances."
The internet is the ultimate double edge sword. It has to power to disseminate both fact and fallacies at lightening speed.
Most people when they read something they tend to look to Snopes to verify the validity of the statements/rumors etc.
Snopes has confirmed that the letter from Anne Kilkerry is indeed valid and the contents are frightening. http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/kilkenny.asp
Palin could not instill the basic values in her daughter that she wants to enact in the country.
I have to wonder whether her current values were in effect when she was unmarried. There seems to be some discrepancies regarding the term of her first pregnancy. As she was married on August 29th, then in April of the following year her son was born. There are three potential answers to this situation: 1. She got pregnant on her honeymoon; 2. The child was born premature; 3. She was pregnant when she got married. So far there has been no confirmation of his exact birth date. Since she has never stated that her son was born premature one has to extrapolate that she was pregnant when she got married.
Just when did this self-proclaiming moralist start practicing what she is now preaching?
