I just saw Sarah Palin's acceptance speech tonight. What an abrasive woman! The first part of her speech sounded reasonable, but the second half demeaning Obama for being a "community organizer" was mean spirited and just full of lies.
I want to thank Palin. She has opened up the flood gates and I say bring it on. I hope the Obama/Biden team shows her for what she is - a divisive, mean-spirited woman, lying woman. What will she do to help people losing their homes- who does she thinks helps people like that? Certainly not people like her. Sarah Palin cut funding to teenage mothers in her home state of Alaska, while her daughter receives pre-natal care on the taxpayers dime. It's not that her daughter doesn't deserve good health care, but all teen moms do. Some of those girls don't have a mom and dad to support them. Her daughter had both parents and still it happened.
The republicans say she's tough. I say let's see how tough she is. The Obama/Biden campaign shouldn't be afraid to go after her. Bring it on!!!
Over the past few months, I have had a love/hate relationship with Hillary Clinton. But I have to say, she out-did her self on the second night of the DNC. Her speech was unbelievably good - Yes she knocked it out of the park. I especially liked the question she asked her supporters "did you do this for me", reminding them what this campaign is really about. If Hillary supporters were voting not just for Hillary as a woman, but for the causes she supports, they cannot possibly vote for the McCain-Palin ticket. It would not only be irrational, but moronic. I can understand not voting at all (although that too would be a mistake) - but I cannot understand voting for the otherside, which would wipe out (or try to) everything Hillary stands for.
Hillary is human and I'm sure she will disappoint me along the way (as we all do), but I must take my hat off to her. She was remarkable. I must admit if Hillary had been as good all along as she was the night of the DNC speech, she'd probably be the Democratic Presidential nominee.
Bravo Hillary. I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail. We all need you.
Anyone that follows this campaign would have to admit that Hillary Clinton has done some bizarre things during her Presidential bid. Her comments have become even more offensive and the May 24th comments about Robert F. Kennedy take the cake.
But after hearing a local commentator I think I now understand what's really going on. Hillary Clinton is a Republican!! We all know she was raised a Republican, but became a Democrat in her young adult life. Yet her willingness to go to the dark side(Fox News) shows us just how comfortable she is with the enemy. She's even quoting Carl Rove for heaven's sake !! I think the real Manchurian Candidate is Hillary. She was raised a Republican - told to go out and infiltrate the Democratic Party - and after successfully doing so - bring it to it's knees. What other explanation is there?? Who else would work so hard to bring the Party down? She says she is determined to take this all the way to the convention. If she does, we will most certainly lose this election. It will take us years to recouperate.
The Super Delegates must step in, take a stand and pledge for Obama. They must bring this thing to a halt! This woman must be shut down on June 1, 2008 That's the only way the Democratic party can be saved.
Well here she is again - tring to make a non issue important. She takes Barack's statement about Pennsylvanian's being "bitter" and she teams with McCain to attack Obama. Sometimes I think the woman is McCain's running mate.
This is a non issue. If these statements make people turn away from Barack then we deserve the government we get. Men and Women are dying in Iraq, gas is over $4.00 a gallon, people don't have jobs, people don't have healthcare.... and the airwaves are being used to talk about this ridiculous non-issue. You have got to be kidding me! Senator Obama is one of the first politicians to speak the truth in a very long time. These ridiculous attacks show us why more good people don't run for political office. I don't see how Hillary (who was able to donate 5 million dollars to her own campaign) can talk about elitism!!
