Meeting Joe...(Biden)

Today, Dan and I went to the Joe Biden rally in Jupiter. As promised, Suzanne got us amazing bleacher seats right behind Joe just like she said she would. Sure enough, I was able to get a good look at the back of Joe Biden's head :) And, even though I've heard the speech before on television, I was blown away listening to Joe live, in person. It made me proud to be part of this historic and important campaign! After his speech, Joe came over to us and shook our hands.

Baracking the vote one voter at a time...

I was so excited to canvass for Barack today--in my neighborhood! Thanks to fellow canvasser Barry, we knocked on over 80 doors and we made a huge difference--I know we did! Most people we talked to either already voted--or were going to vote--for Barack. There were only two people whe weren't very nice, but, what can you do? All in all, we had a great time canvassing together, and it felt good getting out the vote!

Tomorrow, Dan and I are going to the Biden rally in Jupiter. We'll have to get there early, as a lot of people are expected to be there. And Dan, Barry, and I were told that we'll get a good spot behind Joe Biden at the podium. I'm so excited! :)

Fingers crossed these last few days--and hopefully we can win Florida! Yay!

Canvassing is fun!

Just a shout out to Steve Ralph and Hunter Hektner, to say thank you for canvassing with me! I am so happy I went out and canvassed today. I think we may have swayed a couple of people that were on the fence, which is great!

I can't wait to go out and do it again!

I just have to give a shout out to my sister Jennifer Davis, who is taking time off from work at the University of Washington to come help out with the campaign here in Florida! She's going to be helping us get the word out about Barack and help in every way that she can with the campaign!

My husband and I registered 11 voters!

I am so excited! My husband and I registered 11 voters yesterday and are going to register more (we picked up a bunch more at our local Democratic Party office (Palm Beach, baby!). I encourage all Floridians to help register people to vote! It's so vital!

I *heart* Obama/Biden!

I just want to give a shout out to all the Obama-ns out there! I'm a proud Obama/Biden supporter and card carrying democrat! In short: I'm fired up!

I attended my first political event--ever--just last night. I had a blast! It was great meeting so many forward-thinking, like-minded, smart individuals! I felt good that I could help out in some way--writing postcards felt rewarding. You can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be doing many more events to get people in the voting booths!
