fighting the war on terror
the war on terror cant be won by bombs and 40000 tons aircraft carriers ; this method of fighting this war only gives the terrorists an edge and huge advantage
in the sense that they can increase their ranks by recruiting more children who are willing to go die for the cause of allah ; by the simple fact that they are told
they are fighting for the cause of allah and thats america is trying to fight all the muslims and destroy islam ; winning the war on terror requires not guns
but winning the hearts and minds of those people who otherwise would be suicide bombers. what they see when they look at us is very important ;
the war on terror is a war of ideology ; we need to effectively dismental and destroy this fundamental theory inherent in the minds of the middle east, asian,
european islamic youths according to which the sole purpose of the usa is to destroy islam ; unfortunatly this idea was strengthened by our president when he declared iran
iraq as axis of evil followed by the iraqi war and the continuous threat to invade iran and also our inability to provide an honest broker to the middle east crisis etcc..
this unilaterlal and imperial mentality is our biggest enemy when it comes to winning the hearts and minds of the young muslims ; we need to change course ;
you see we have a president who before invading iraq did not know the difference between sunnis and shiites in iraq ; yet they claimed we were going to be greeted with flowers ;
the neocons have ruled the last 7 years with arrogance when it comes to foreign policy and have failed us miserably ; when they leave office our country will have
been severely wounded and it will need a new leader with fresh ideas to repair the damages ; we will need a leader who can reach across the aisle and speak
to the other side of the world and be listened to; a leader
who can be embrassed by not only us americans but also by the rest of the world ; you see the US president unlike the rest of the leaders is the the leader of the
free world ; he not only leads the united states but also provides leadership to the rest of the world in terms of human rights , justice , democracy etc...because of our previous good records on human rights , moral authority , freedom , equlity and justice for all we have always led by example and therefore we
have always been admired by millions in the international stage until we started this so called war on terror which resulted in the war in iraq ;we need a leader
who can look at the middle east crisis and act as an honest broker ; a leader who both sides (israel and palestine) can take a look at and say yes this person
can be an honest broker and will not be bias toward any side; this is where some one like barack hussein obama comes to play; just imagine the airwaves
of the planet waking up the morning after the elections and learning that the US new presidents name is Barrack Hussein Obama ; well let me say my friends
this name by itself is the biggest weapon to fight the war on terror ; that day the enrollements across alqaida recruiting camps will have severely dropped.
imagine the face of a young muslim man just learning that the new us leader is barrack hussein obama ;
this will be inspiring confusing and shocking to this young man or woman and honestly will be the largest bomb dropped against alqaeda ;
why ???? because in obama every young person in the world can relate to;
whether you are white , black , asian,european,african, chrisitian , muslim , etc... you can relate to this guy; just his family tree reaches both far ends of the
planet ; he has a christian cousin in the northern western hemisphere named Vice president Dick Cheney a step father in indonesia and a grand mother in the southern eastern hemisphere (kenya) who is muslim;
this is a person who can be embrassed by every human being on this planet thanks to such a diverse ethnic and religious background ; this is why he has this ability of reaching
across the aisle and talking to his ennemies ; he will not be afraid to talk to countries like iran , north korea etc.. because this is inherent in his upbringing ; when you grow up
with such diversity around you , basically you learn to respect everyone, you learn not to fear anyone because lets face it you can easily reflect that person in yourself and other people can easily reflect themsleves
in you ; this is why we should not fear that his middle name is hussein ; we should actually embrass it. now when you look at this guys accomplishements in his carrer you see that the
power to negociate and reach compromises is his biggest strength ; his work as a state senator proved again and again how he was able to lead by uniting rather than dividing;
he is willing to reach extremely far out to listen , negociate and compromise ; his strength is by far the fact that he is open minded which is a tool you acquire from your diverse background and diverse education.
unlike our current leader I think being open minded should be a requirement to become a president in this country; so this ability to listen opposite views and reach opposite ends
give him another powerful tool which is engaging opposite groups to solve problems ; you see every where in the world problems and conflicts are created by opposing views from (darfur to iraq )and need to be solved
by someone who is open minded who can engage opposing views and come up with a viable solution ; obama is this kind of person ; needless to talk about his education; it speaks for itself.
obama is the sole potential uniter of this country at this time ; just the way how he currently attracts republicans and independents from his message of unity speaks of itself ; any people are
willing to forget party denomination and unite behind obama ; he is the best person with the ability to unite this country again loved by all 3 parties (democrats , republicans and independents).
he is the only candidate who I can claim is a uniting force to be reckon with ; he will unite this country again ; he will lead this country again by solving the tons of domestic problems
that are waiting to be solved for the last 7 years ; from a broken health care system to a declining education to an economy on the verge of recession he will lead again by solving
these problems ; there is hope and inspiration in thea air across all america as we celebrate christmas this coming week ; hope because we are counting the days till hoepful victory
in Iowa and inpsiration because we have all been inspired by the uniqueness of an obama candidancy ; it will be many many years again before we see an obama like candidate.
Like he said in he famous convention speech << nowhere in the world even my story is possible ; the story of skinny kid with a funny name ....so inspiring and so hopefull....>>
this is the story of america coming back with a positive message of unity and hope to the world.
I would like to end this piece by saying that In obama I see th United states of america the most diverse country on the planet ; in diversity comes strength ; thanks to our diversity in this country
we are strong and we can even be stronger with a leader like obama.
I also would like to thank people like obama s father and mother who in spite of their opposing backgrounds
mother (christian and white from kansas) father ( muslim turned atheist from kenya) somehow manage to see past those differences and as result our country can have a leader like obama to
repair its broken image and finally win the war on terror.
here is what I think obama should respond to hillary when she claims experience.
well experience is like cholesterol ; you can have good cholesterol and bad cholesterol ;experience without good judgement is nothing but bad cholesterol ; some people who claim experience need to
actually see how much of that experience is actually good cholesterol and how much of it is bad cholesterol ; for examples claiming experience on the war in iraq is bad experience ;
claiming experience on a failed health care is claiming bad experience ; claiming experience
on declaring war in iran is claiming bad experience ; claiming experience on failed foreign policies is claiming bad experience ;bad experience is just like bad cholesterol ; if you have too much of it you wont survive ; we want a leader with a good judgement not a leader bad experience just like we want our leader to be healthy physically and mentally but mostly healthy politically ; clinton has experience true but most of it is just bad cholesterol ; a leader with bad experience just wont be able to lead ( there is no cure for bad experience)
