By now, you've probably heard the news that John McCain is scaling back his campaign in Michigan. But, the Michigan Obama campaign is not slowing down one bit, and needs your help more than ever! Michigan has a history of elections being decided in the final weeks before Election Day, and polls here are known to swing dramatically in the last days before the election. While polls currently show Senator Obama in the lead in Michigan, we all know how volatile polling can be - and how important it is to keep our momentum going in Michigan.
Sarah Palin said it herself on Fox News Friday: "I want to get back to Michigan, and I want to try." Michigan's Lt. Governor John Cherry, a veteran of Michigan politics, predicts McCain's announcement will lead
"to a flurry of anti-Obama spending by independent groups."
The McCain campaign may be pulling out of Michigan, but their supporters aren't giving up. Michigan's Republican Party is redoubling its own efforts to elect John McCain, which is why it's so important to keep our focus on Michigan so we can ensure it votes for Senator Obama on November 4.
Come to Michigan to help keep this critically important battleground state in the Obama column on Election Day! With only a month until the election, there's never been a more important time than now to get involved. From knocking on doors to making phone calls, you can make the difference in this vital swing state. To get involved, visit
