Comprehensive list of ways to volunteer for Obama

For those who are already motivated to volunteer for Obama, here is an overview of how you can get involved.

FIRST STEPS:

1. Sign up for an account on:

http://barackobama.com

2. Join the Framingham for Obama group (or your local group) here:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/FRAMINGHAMFOROBAMA

3. Look for events on that page and sign up for them.

People who do not have a computer can get in touch with the MA state campaign by calling 617-776-2895.

meeting in Framingham?

I'd like to see how many people would be interested in attending a meeting in Framingham. The campaign is encouraging people to do it on Saturday, June 28. I won't be able to participate that day, but I'd be glad to help organize it. Alternatively, we could hold it on another day.

I attended similar meetings for Dean during the primaries in 2004, and led meetings for Kerry in the general election season in 2004. They were helpful in giving people the information and encouragement they needed to get involved, and they were also fun!

Please leave a comment if you're interested. In particular, please let me know if you'd like to help with any of the following:

- suggesting or offering a space to hold the meeting

- contacting people to inform them about the meeting

- planning the meeting
