We are concerned citizens who responded to President-elect Obama’s invitation to have a house meeting to talk about Foreign Policy issues. We all worked actively on the Obama campaign in hopes that he would take our country in a progressive and inclusive direction.
Coming from very different backgrounds as Jews, Christians, Muslims, who read a great variety of news sources in different languages, we all campaigned for Obama in small towns and cities in eastern PA and listened to people around us.
President-elect Obama ought to seek diplomatic, nonmilitary, and peaceful solutions to heal the many rifts and problems caused by the disastrous policies of the previous administration. We agreed that change needs to happen in stages, and propose the following timetable for change.
