It pains me to say that you are letting us down Mr. President. We had HOPE that you would lead the congress not follow it. We voluntered, publiclly promoted and praised you. We donated, fund-raised, organized locally and cybernetically and elected you to represent us. The current health care reform bill exiting the Senate appears to be another give-away to the insurance moguls, drug companies and others that profit from health care although they in no way provide patient or hospital services. Don't sign this flawed health care bill if it comes to you without a public option, or vulgar give-aways to the senior Democratic senator from Nebraska or any other seeking preferencial amendments; I mean what the heck is that all about ?!?! Tragically the current administration has failed to urgently deliver the message nor the funds to fuel a new "New Deal" style of recovery linking jobs and economic recovery with the rebuilding of the infrastructure including a smart grid, high speed-rail, & a multitude of regionally adept renewable energy programs. You are lettting your base down while trying to win points with those that seek to weaken you at every turn. When you beg for the oppositions compliance and input while bending to their defiant will you not only look but act weak and vulnerable. What happened to "Fired Up and Ready to Go"? When are you going to learn that they are just not that into you? Stick to the program that got you elected. Cut the multitude of government administrative waste and duplication of services. Cease the creation of a new czar and corresponding department for every new percieved concern, this stuff has to stop! Air Force One photo-ops over NYC and million dollar websites are examples of embarassing administration blunders that I expected out of the Bush White House. When are you going to start putting the screws to the wealthy that had breaks over the last eight years, like you said you were going to, this change won't fund itself you know. Stop the" Too Big to fail" mentality, be it a mega-bank, global insurance company or the automobile monopolies. Start creating tough regulations on the banking and insurance industries and enforce those laws with teeth. I don't even want to begin airing my concerns regarding the decision to further engage and embedd our troops in Afghanistan tribal lands and affairs while simultaneouslty having the audacity to accept a Noble Peace Prize. Get out of the bubble, you need to chill in the barber shop and hear what the people who elected you are saying. It can never be both ways, which side are you on? There is evil in the world and it sits in the seats in the boardrooms of Haliburton, Black Water and the other profiteers of war; Recognize! All that said, congrats and thank you for your service you continue to impress on many levels you have the most difficult job in the world, I support your intent if not for actions. I can't begin to imagine the weight of your responsabilities. That said you are going to NEED to be true to those who brought you to this place and return to your political roots and instincts if you expect to get my continued whole-hearted support.
Public resources are recklessly wasted in the enforcement of "marihuana" laws. Human potential is squandered as innocent consumers of an herb are marginalized, demonized, criminalized and discriminated against. The fascist that support enforcement of this prohibition are the beneficiaries of the petro-chemi-pharma-military-industrial-complex; a toxic paradigm of corporate greed that is enriched from our taxed labor. The ruling elitist, the corporate barons that feared hemp’s emerging agrarian potential to the proletariat manifested a propaganda program to preserve their violent unnatural economic control of the planets available resources. The economic threat hemp posed to these industries spawned a propaganda campaign to outlaw the "evil weed”. The prohibitionists played upon racism, and ignorance to fan the flames of the public's fear of cannabis. If you are not convinced that profiters are behind the prohibition of hemp/cannabis check out Jack Herer's book “ The Emperor Wears No Clothes". Now is the time to reverse government policy on the hemp/cannabis issue and allow the free market to determine the worth of this crop, this plant has an ancient history of benefiting mankind. The potential of organiclly grown cannabis to provide fiber, food, fuel and medicine to the masses far out weighs all other arguments. President Obama I urge you to be bold, be fearless and be true to those who supported you. Reverse federal cannabis laws, release and pardon non-violent victims of the war on drugs. One Love.
1. First I urge you all to devote as much effort as possible to registering new voters and driving home the importance of every vote. Encourage your friends and family to participate in the democratic process and instill these values in your children. Rush Limbaugh's political relevance must ultimately be diminished by the multitude of good Americans that reject his fascist agenda of division and hate. In time the selfish-narcissism this type of politics represents will clearly be recognized as a social disorder by an informed and educated electorate.
2. Tell people about the obscene behavior of Rush Limbaugh and why we as Americans should be insulted by his attempt to make a mockery of our democracy . Do not tolerate haters be they friends, family, co-worker, or acquaintances when you find yourself subject to e-mails or speech that delivers a hateful message it is important that you tell these people how "YOU FEEL" about what they say.
3. Call upon the Clinton campaign to renounce and reject Rush Limbaugh's "endorsement" and make it clear that this type of "hate voting" is clearly an Un-American activity. Meddling in the affairs of political parties that represent the vision, sentiments and wishes of the American people is treasonous.
4. Call upon the Clinton Camp to explain how they plan to contend with the radical-right wing-fascist- press corps that fractured America and staled/halted the Clinton social contract during their previous administration.
5. If you are a republican or listen to Rush reject the urge to crash another persons party!
6. It is "Time to Boycott Rush Limbaugh" his advertisers and financial interests. Let's organize this thing. Let's shut the haters down. (Anyone out there know how to get a list of his financial supporters and interests?)
7. If you are not aware of Mr.Limbaugh's drive to register republicans as democrats in an attempt to influence our primaries I urge you to read the following article
>"I want Hillary to stay in this…this is too good a soap opera," Limbaugh told fellow conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham on Fox News Friday. He reiterated >the comments on his Monday show and replayed the exchange with Ingram......read more.........

Dear Friends and Family,
I Hope this finds you and yours in the best of health and happiness. As I write this correspondence Barack is making a historic speech in an effort to bridge a divided people. Obama's campaign seeks to unite people in the common wish of humanities pursuit to form a more perfect union. This speech defines the reasons why Barack Obama is the leader we need at this time in American history. I hope you will take the time to listen to this historic message that only a man like Barack could deliver with such clarity. If you remain undecided I cannot imagine that you will not be unswayed by this message. If you have decided, this may effect you to jump camp; It is my hope that you do not hesitate to follow the path with heart. I am so happy to see so much support for an Obama candidacy and presidential nomination. Remember it is your responsibility as a citizen of the United States to be an informed electorate and to vote. The decisions we make as a nation will be the world and legacy we leave our children. With a leader like Senator Obama it is my hope that America will take responsibility for it's global behavior, by reining in the errant multi-national corporations, and by working in concert with United Nations efforts to resolve conflicts abroad while currently resolving the enormity of issues that face us in the homeland. Senator Obama's belief in the need for government commitment to the nations health, education and welfare through understanding, council and resolution guarantees positive outcomes. A reminder to my Oregon friends the mail in ballots will arrive soon, if you want to vote in the "Democratic Party Primary" you must be registered as a DEMOCRAT !!! If you are registered independent, green/pacific , libertarian, constitution, republican, or any other affiliation and want to vote democrat remember to reregister; forms may be found at US postal offices, county elections offices, other government offices such as the DMV or on-line at http://www.sos.state.or.us/elections/votreg/vreg.htm. We are just two hippies living in the Pacific Northwest United States doing the best we can but we dream the dream of a peaceful planet like all of Earth's children do.
One Love Terry and Angie

I have found that someone has begun a "Demand" Barack Obama Event in Roseburg Oregon on the Eventful website Demand for Barack Obama in Roseburg, OR - Eventful I have also posted this widget on my UmpquaNation My-Space page MySpace.com - Umpqua Nation - 49 - Male - IDLEYLD PARK, Oregon - www.myspace.com/umpquanation. Please take a moment to register your vote at one of these two sites. I understand that of the many avenues we might take in the pursuit of a Doug.Co./So.O. Obama appearance this may have little impact, but it is as quick & easy as you can click a mouse. It may just begin to perk the interest of those who watch such buzz indexes. Douglas County should be open to the Barack platform Barack Obama | Change We Can Believe In | Issuess as it has been especially hard hit by the recession, the war, and the spiraling decline in social services from medical care to public education. A candidate with fresh approach intent on solutions to our countries difficulties at home and abroad. Barack has avoided the fray of finger-pointing and the blame-game politics throughout the primary, this is not a tactic, it's who he is, attack politics is not in his political toolbox. He's the kind of guy that can really get things done. Peace TerryK
You can see or hear the good guys in their own words here.
Can you imagine if all the presidential candidates publicly supported protecting patients?
The 10 good candidates are to be commended for their common sense and compassion, especially as federal intrusion into medical marijuana states has been on the rise this summer, with DEA raids taking place in several counties in California and Oregon. Recently, the DEA also began threatening landlords who lease space to medical marijuana dispensaries — activity that’s legal under state law — with forfeiture of their property, a move condemned in a Los Angeles Times editorial as "a deplorable new bullying tactic."
And last week, presidential candidate and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D), who signed legislation in April making his the 12thmedical marijuana state, wrote to President Bush asking him to end the federal raids in medical marijuana states: "Respected physicians and government officials should not fear going to jail for acting compassionately and caring for our most vulnerable citizens. Nor should those most vulnerable of citizens fear their government because they take the medicine they need."
We still have work to do in New Hampshire: Thank you for your support.
With gratitude,

P.S. As I've mentioned in previous alerts, a major philanthropist has committed to match the first $3.0 million that MPP can raise from the rest of the planet in 2007. This means that your donation today will bedoubled.
As the primary season rolls into full swing, my wife and I have grown increasingly enthusiastic for Barack's run for the Democratic Party's nomination in the upcoming presidential election. We agree whole-heartedly with the positions he has taken on most of the issues he has addressed. We have shared this enthusiasm with friends, family and even to the more inquisitive and receptive business associates we encounter. We have read (and purchased) his books, contributed financially , networked on-line w/ Barack.com, started an on-line fundraiser , sport the bumper stickers, buttons and tees, etc.......Considering the magnitude and the importance of next years presidential elections; and the critical need for America to change it's political coarse it is my hope that special interests needs will remain a secondary concern to the big picture. That being said; I do have a question concerning an issue that is of a concern to many Americans and has been over-looked for too long; What is Barack Obama's position concerning Medical Marijuana, and Marijuana Law Reform? We would also like to know what his position is concerning state rights in regards to Marijuana Laws which conflict with federal legislation? Medical Marijuana especially needs to be addressed as 12 states have now enacted laws allowing the use of marijuana for medical purposes. Sick, ill and dying Americans should not be at odds with their government merely over the right to choose the medication which brings them relief from their condition. It is our belief that many good citizens civil liberties are abused, lives are complicated and even destroyed by unconstitutional laws regarding cannabis. A tremendous amount of tax dollars are spent on enforcing marijuana laws, a crime which has no victim. It is our position that NO victimless crime should ensue an imprisonable penalty,. Incarceration and excessive criminal penalty is a most barbaric response to marijuana use, Marijuana laws are based on prejudice, ignorance and fear. I understand that this is a sensitive issue ( I understand, but still don't know why) and all of the leading presidential candidates continue to avoid answering it directly. A proactive position concerning drug law reform may even give the Obama candidacy a boost with an untapped, uninspired and many unregistered voters ( *take note * The Daily Show, Colbert Nation, Bill Maher democratic faction). I would be impressed if Senator Obama would show the courage that his peers ,congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) and opposition party contender Ron Paul (R-Texas) have shown in opposing federal laws against Medical Marijuana, supporting drug law reform and ENDING another "Dumb War", the War on Drugs.
Eagerly Awaiting Your Response, Mr. Terry L. Kilcullen
