I was drawn to Barack because of his message but for me Michelle clinched the deal. She was the reason why i took a closer look at Barack. I have seen a couple interviews with her and she is the one of the most down-to-earth people i have ever heard. When she talked about her life I felt like she was talking about mine. I related to the story about how she was often told as a little girl that she couldn't this this or that. That her dreams of going to college were silly.
My mother raised me by herself on welfare and growing up no one but my mother believed in me and even she thought that i I wouldn't go far in this world because she didn't. But I always believed in my self and in the future. Now I am on my way to getting my Associates at a community college with a 3.9 GPA.
Michelle speaks to peole like me. Michelle is a straight shooter and I really respect that. She isn't afraid to speak her mind. I think if she got up and spoke more often, spoke to the working class women like me, women will vote for this dynamic duo.
I just saw her tonight on Larry King and once more I was blown away by her 'realness', her candor. She is a working mother, a loving wife and a fiery woman who made herself a success and didn't let anyone tell her 'what she couldn't do'.
God Bless Michelle and Barak.
