Doesn’t want to support DNA sequencing of Montana bears – Palin family values, shoot the bears and moose.
Thinks buying a planetarium projector is wasteful pork – keep “the masses” uneducated, easier to rule.
5th last from the bottom of an 800+ military academy class – an early indicator of great presidential material.
Was in the cockpit ready to launch nuclear attack – sounds like regrets, but will not make the same mistake twice if he gets his finger on the red button.
Foreign policy advisor – Joe the Plumber, apparently a great expert on Israel, cabinet post for sure (national security advisor?)
Economic advisor – Joe the Plumber, how to make $250, 000 out of $40,000 with no license
Joe the Plumber becomes Joe the No Show: possible role in McCain's office – in charge of appointments
Economic stimulus package – crash 5 planes and order new ones
Health insurance - only scars will be covered
Health plan - everyone will have scars to show
McCain proves that he is a decent human being by reacting properly at the rally and taking the mike away from a mad person at the rally. The choice for McCain is clear: win or loose honorably or loose dishonorably. He made a clear personal choice yesterday - not to loose dishonorably. Let's hope that his campaign gets it. That would be such a bad end to a honorable career... McCain needs to reign in his pit-bulls and dishonest managers. They have nothing to loose, and he does.
McCain is a true American hero and a patriot. His speech brought tears to my eyes when he described his experience as a captive.
So, why will I still vote for Obama?
Because:
1) We need a true change, not someone voting >90% of the times with President Bush.
2) Selection of a clueless rabid runing mate who hates everything about 50% of Amercans. Perhaps in Alasca they have mostly republicans, and thus her experience as a "governer" does not include serving all interests as governer of a typical state would have to do.
3) Sadly, Washington has changed McCain, just as stated in his speech.
4) We need new solutions not protecting the old money.
5) And a lot more... I have an idea: McCain would make a good defense secretary in Obama's cabinet, and it woudl be a great bipartisanship for the interest of Amerca. Would McCain accept that, as this is the best way he could serve his country now.
Palin acceptance speech is a cynical message painting a world in which we are supposed to cow down to high school bullies who want the world to be just as it was. Teleprompter reading by Palin of the fed lines was a well-rehearsed high school-level show. “Congrats” to the speech writers and the choreographers who puppeteered the show on sending one of the most cynical, smug, insulting messages ever in politics. By mocking Obama, you succeeded in making the rest of us feel inadequate and evoked the thoughts of school-yard bullies waiting for us after school on our way home. Now that we know that we are all complete failure, as we are told so in no uncertain terms, and that there is no hope for us and no place for us in your world, what are we supposed to do? Roll over, cry uncle, and pony up the money the bully wants so we can go home and hide? I think that the American people will chose to stand up to the high school bullies, once they realize what this show is all about. Funny, how some people never grow up…
I cannot believe it, but I really feel that a 3rd term by George W. Bush would be far better and less dangerous for the country than having the McCain-Palin duet.
The GOP ticket is outright scarry at not being able to do reasonable things at a single family level let alone for a whole country:
1) Palin's daughter teen pregnancy. Will someone call social services and provide parental guidance to Palin's children, given that there is a teen preganncy in the family?
2) McCain's response:"life happens", is a preview of what Amerca will get as a recurring response for future economic, social, and international disasters if he gets elected.
3) Isn't it irresponsible to a have a child with Down's syndrome when you are 44 years old. Who is going to care for the grown-up when Palin is too old or no longer there?
4) Our country has real problems to contend with. Now, we have to deal with Palin's family transgressions... Is this a strategy to have American voters busy with Palin's soap opera, and forget about the reali issues?
5) Bush's policies are a matter for concern, but McCain-Palin "promise" for the extreme indicates that we will be yearning for the good old days under W.
McCain and his VP running mate - with this joke, McCain is mocking American people.
