Here are some key points I have been thinking about for quite a while. I invite your comments and your opinions even if they are drastically different from mine:
STUPID THINGS I HEAR ON TELEVISION:
LAPEL PIN: Here is an answer Obama: "As soon as I find one that is made in the USA instead of China, I will proudly wear it"
SACRIFICE: No one has asks us to sacrifice? We sacrifice daily. Car pooling and public transportation are not viable options to many of us. (suburbia does not have those perks)
AMERICANS ARE STUPID; NO! WE ARE NOT! we are TIRED!!! tired of commuting, tired of worrying, tired of not being able to spend more time with our family, tired of providing and sacrificing so our children and spouses can have a life. Tired of working overtime and tired of feeling "lucky" to have the job and the overtime, tired of listening to people whose net worth is incomprehensible to us telling us lies and taking everything we work for.
BTW, I am sick and tired of hearing that uneducated, blue collar workers are behind Hillary. This divide among the working classes and the racial divide that now is permeating this campaing has been forced into the race by the media who could not comprehend the massive amount of WHITE people voting for Obama. It defied their ideology, so they created the chiasm by consistanly repeating the percentage of blacks/latinos/men/women/blue collar/uneducated/poor/elitist.... and so they make their pie charts and the talking heads keep talking... blah, blah, blah..
AMERICANS ARE JUST TIRED OF ALL THIS BULL! WE WANT RESULTS YESTERDAY!
OBAMA IS AN ELITIST: Really? Up until now, he was the only candidate that was speaking our language. Hence, the tremendous support and the household name he has become. Was Mr. and Mrs. Clinton who made 100 Million dollars last year, the ones in touch with those of us earning 30-50K? I don't think so. We know why it hurts to fork over $4.00 for a gallon of MILK. They don't get that.
SUBSTANCE! If anyone has expressed themselves clearly to blue collar workers is OBAMA. Not Hillary. But coming so unprepared to this last debate was not cool. Sorry, Obama, it was not.
DEBATE: ANOTHER ONE? ARE YOU KIDDING?, However, I do have some observations:
It sounds like HRC is ready to railroad Obama in front of everyone in the country. I have never seen such angry people as those who speak on her behalf. (including her and her husband)
If Obama does another debate, he should be a lot better prepared. She is more than ready and is going to sling every lie and mud pie she can get her hands on. If Obama is not ready to act in kind, and only respond to her accussations, it is just a waste of time and surely, he would loose the votes.
OLD WOMEN AND BATTERED WIFE SYNDROME:
I understand old women voting for her because she resonates with them. (I have a 70+ year old mother who thinks, and I quote: "A woman would not get us into a war. Women are better and non violent". Obviously, my mother glossed over Hillary's "Oblitaration of Iran" comment and does not think back to Helen of Troy and many others in history, since it is the men who have left their blood in the fields far more often in wars than women have.
No, I am not for equalizing that particular playing field, but I am all for eliminating the unnecessary human suffering in all camps.
I understand these old women, they, just like Hillary, lived in a time where their choices were very limited and they put up with abusive and degrading spouses. However, I don't think that electing a woman "who can take a punch" is the best president we could possible have. (Sorry mom and all of your friends)
You see, ALL battered wives "can take a punch" . A real woman would not allow anyone to disrespect her in that manner. A battered wife will accept infidelity. A real woman would show him his walking papers and we are not talking about Monica, we are talking about Jennifer Flowers and Paula Jones and .... every single woman that did not make the news. She has come to accept lies, lies and more lies, and justifying them over and over again. This is a pattern, that is why it was so easy to keep repeating that she has seen battle by avoiding sniper fire in Bosnia. (And what else has she convinced herself that actually happen?)
Do we really want a president that can't tell the diffence between fantasy and reality?... Wait! no, we don't! we already have one and we want him out.
The point I am trying to make is that Obama failed the last debate to someone who is underhanded, a consumate liar, and in the pockets of every major corporation that does not want to loose their grip on Washington.
She was more than ready for that debate, and so will be Bill, because her supporters are "their" supporters, they know that this is the way to put Bill back in the White House, they just don't realize how incredibly angry and resentful Hillary is and perhaps, unstable. Someone so delusional should not be answering the phone at 3:00 a.m.
Her candidacy is not about "the people". She has no idea who "the people" are. I have watched her make comments in total awe of what is going on in this country because this is the first time she has had to really talk to some of "the people". She is so clueless about the realities of our lives, it is pathetic!
Because this presidency is ALL ABOUT HER(HRC) and HIM (McCAIN) who seems to think someone owes him to be President. They don't understand our realities and that they WORK FOR US. You see, if they are so stuck in their own time warp, how can they move forward? Hillary and McCain surely cannot. They are just old, bitter and angry people who have lost complete touch with the reality of the country they think they are representing.
REPEATING MYSELF:
Obama can be as much of a gentleman as he likes, but he should start pointing out that the non-"elitist" candidate reported over 100 million dollars in income last year. How can someone like this even know what $4.00 for a gallon of milk means to me? to you? (let's not discuss gas prices) I blame the Democrats for not putting an end to the Oil companies subsidies and forcing them to give that money back.
SOCIAL SECURITY:
There is also nothing wrong with Social Security that repaying all those I.O.U.'s with a hefty 10% interest would not cure. BILL CLINTON was instrumental in charging 10% to men who fell back in their child support payments without understanding that sometimes people loose their jobs and their standard of living declines. If we can charge men 10% for child support interest, we sure as hell can charge 10% (compounded) to anyone who has borrowed from S.S. as if it was petty cash.
If Grandma Hillary or Granpa McCain win this election I have no high expectations of either one of them.
If Obama wins, the expectations are through the roof because we see him as "one of us", regardless of how well educated he is, he appeals to all.
Time to get this campaign back on course and come out swinging. Too much is riding on this (my children's future and yours) and BTW... I'd like to enjoy my life too while we are at it, I am sure you want to be able to breathe too and stop worrying about all that keeps us awake at night.
This country and its people deserves to have some good times ahead. Prosperity, respect and truly being proud of what we can accomplish needs to be part of the equation.
PEACE
I just got a call from an elderly 2nd cousin (Republican) to congratulate me on backing Obama from day one.
She will vote for him, in her own words about today's speech "he speaks to my intellect, he has addressed issues that are seldom verbalized to much cost to himself and he was brilliant". Yes, she is voting for him. Republican and in her 60's.....
That particular age group has some very deeply rooted experiences that has scarred them for the rest of their lives and have determined how to fit into a society that did not quite make room for them and resented their existence. I think that if that group can change their minds and get behind Obama, we truly have a shot in this American Evolution.
It is my belief, that this is the only chance we are going to get, that window will close shut permanently if we elect someone else. We don't have the time to wait, The time is now. We need the change now.
Let's keep that window open and take advantage of the only time in history that we truly can have a government for and by the people and not corporate America and corrupted politicians.
Because every time I see her I am repulsed by her lies and how fake she comes across. Because she is dirty and underhanded and under no circumstances would I want that type of woman representing everyone who shares my gender. YES! we are a lot better than that and deserve a lot better.
Because I am intelligent enough to know that gender is not going to make this country better.
Because in her book she stated that the biggest crisis she ever had to comfront was Monica Lewisky and she was gasping for breath and in shock. Nevermind that Jennifer Flowers and Paula Jones should have paved the way for reacting a bit differently that time around. If she can't react to the only crisis she claims to have experience in, how on earth is she going to react to an international crisis?
Because a REAL WOMAN would not put up with being disrespected over and over again. A REAL WOMAN would have dumped her cheating husband and striked out on her own and pursue her own political ambitions on her own and would have the respect of REAL WOMEN everywhere.
If she can act like a battered wife and stay with man who disrespects her, how on earth can we expect the world to have respect for the office itself.
I am repulsed by her twisting the truth about Obama and playing the victim at the same time. Is that not part of the battered wife's syndrome? Play the victim, attack and stay around?
We already have damaged goods in the white house. A guy whose brain was fried by drugs and alcohol and is incapable of making the right decisions for the people of this country. A guy who is completely out of touch with what is going on at home and the world. A guy that lives in a bubble of his own creation. A guy that was shocked to hear that gas would be $4.00 a gallon at the pump at a News Conference.
We don't need anymore upheaval, we need the solid presence of Barrack Obama, where cool heads prevail and he is capable of reaching out to everyone, not just a segment of our population. That is what G.W.B has done and that is what HRC will do because she is clueless.
I hope no other woman comes up to me and asks me why I don't want a woman in the White House. I could careless about the gender. I WANT A REAL PRESIDENT. Period
I realize that I have come too strong, but that is the way I feel and I am sickenned by the tactics in this election. We are better than this. she is not. I expect this from the Republicans.
Oh, and BTW, when the phone rings in the white house at 3:00 a.m. it will be the Chief of Staff informing the President that the Generals are in the War Room with all the details and they are just waiting for final decision. Anyone who is President would answer that phone and act appropriately because only one president has not, and he is still in the W.H.
I refuse to accept that you will not be the next president of this country and have gotten used to call you President rather than Senator.
I also have 2 girls ages 9 & 12 and we applaud and support you in every one of your debates and speeches.
It is VITAL to have you as the next President of OUR country. We can't continue to settle and do without. Too much is at stake.
Your American Story is very similar to mine and millions of people that have been disenfranchised by the status quo by previous administrations.
There is much more at stake that an old war veteran or an previous first lady know. Only now they have begun speaking and listening to the people of this country and it has been done with their own agenda in mind. Not ours.
You, my dear President Obama, have been listening to us for a very long time, you are fully aware of the inqualities we, as Americans, experience on a daily basis. You know what it takes to buy that gallon of milk and put gas in the car. To constantly make ends meet and worry through the sleepless nights about our futures. You know.
You have to do whatever it takes and take no prisoners, there is plenty of objectionable conduct and shaddy deals on both Clinton and McCain camps.
You don't have to go negative. Just go truthful and prove it. (that's my section on advice, quite possibly not necessary, but I feel better saying it)
I can't contribute financially, we are barely surviving on disability income, but I have spoken about you. Talked Republicans into voting for you and dragged my neighbors to the Caucus in our town. I have made phone calls on your behalf and have never lost HOPE.
Because HOPE is all I got to see those two girls into a future with a promise and opportunity and it all starts with the HOPE that we can truly address you as President OBAMA.
YES, WE CAN..... WE HAVE TO. or if you prefer... SI, SE PUEDE! y podemos porque necesitamos tener un president que sabe como vivimos y cuanto sufrimos.
(Yes, we can because we need to have a president that knows how we live and how we suffer)
Keep fighting for our rights, we are right alongside you.
PEACE (PAZ)

Now what?
Texas being divisive over latinos and blacks. It has nothing to do with the matter at hand but with their past history and getting even.
Hillary stated that everyone has a right to their opinion and after being informed of what had been said she "denounced" and "rejected"... or something to that effect.
Texas needs to come out and vote for Obama and Obama needs to come out and re-assure Latinos that they are in the same boat heading in the same direction with the rest of America's multiple nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
Latinos apreciate more than I can state having their varied cultures acknowledged and respected. Their core values are in the following order: FAMILY, FAMILY, FAMILY issues, economy, education and appreciation for the contributions to this country. They are sick and tired of being labled as "illegal" immigrants. They are not.
How do I know this? I am part of the latino community that knows the difference between a Cuban, a Mexican, a Puerto Rican... etc., we know who we are and are sick and tired of being painted with the same wide brush. We respect each other's cultures and enjoy each other's differences.
Stereotypes need to be laid down to rest.
Obama needs to make sure that Latinos are not used as a tool to divide this Nation further. All this dirty work that neither the Clinton Side nor the Republican side is willing to do, but eager to happen, is being put in the hands of "independent" speakers who are Latino or black.
Using people is their game. Uniting this Nation is Obama's mandate.
All citizens need to rise above this and the message needs to be sent clearly and often. Texas and Ohio need to hear it loud and clear before they vote.
Just my thoughts in a disgusting issue that has permeated our lives for too long.
Here I am again wondering if anyone actually reads these blogs.
Today, the media decided to critice Obama on his having done nothing to take action against Afghanistan and the Clinton campaign was not far behind making statements about it to make themselves look better. That is expected since they are both vying for the same position within the same party.
What I found myself questioning was McCain's straight talk express jumping into the frey. This is a man who was right there in Washington but could not be bothered to show up for a vote on Immigration and yet, Obama and Clinton both showed up from their campaigning to cast their votes. McCain was in Washington the entire time.
I also think it was convenient of McCain to denounce that radio moron long after he had his little rally and the crowds were gone. People like McCain and Rush Limb.... would love to come out and start screaming to the rest of us that this is the wrong choice for America because Obama does not meet the criteria of what they are used to. The fact that they are trying the "fear factor" is because they themselves are terrified that people would see them for what they really are and leave them behind.
Nothing is more devastating to larger than life egos than to be thought of as being inconsequential. And frankly, they are.
Your thoughts?
I am a concerned that both Hillary and Obama keep hammering at the "it's the economy, stupid!" and the war in Iraq.
I understand that Obama has a plan for college students and their tuition, but somehow our educational system is not being addressed from Kindergarten throughout elementary, Middle and high school by either candidate.
I am in an incredible position of seeing first hand how awful our educational system is. I have volunteered for the past 8 yrs at our elementary school. Have one child there and another in Middle school.
Both kids are in the talented and gifted program and it is not sufficient to meet their needs. Middle school is not even giving out grades (they are substituted by meet standards or approaches or exceeds). In essence, no one knows how well kids are doing or how truly prepared they are.
Is there someting politically incorrect about making the bold statement that we are going to re-vamp our educational system from K-12 to match the best of European systems, NOW? before my kids end up with a H.S. diploma that is equivalent to the knowledge of a 6th graders in Europe or Japan?
All the other topics that affect us have been covered, but education seems to have been removed from the talking points and the menu.
On the school bus issue: Why is it that if my children don't wear a seat belt I am negligent and yet they can get on a school bus and get hammered, maimed or killed because there are no seat belts laws regulating this?
Do you see the news? Every other day or so, there seems to be a tragic accident involving a school bus followed by the subsquent heart breaking and unnecessary funerals. These are deaths that are totally preventable.
It is mandatory for auto makers to install seat belts on passenger vehicles, and yet, the school bus manufacturers are not mandated to do so. A study showed that it would cost $1.00 per seat belt. Most parents would gladly fork over that dollar and be glad to pay for parents who can't afford it.
What are your thoughts? Do you think this is an important issue? What do you think would be the best way to re-organize the way we teach our children? What are your thoughts on a seat belt law that encompass every vehicle?
Look forward to hearing your thoughts and your experiences.
It amazes me that there are so many pictures of George W. Bush dressed in traditional outfits. Senators who have travelled abroad dressing up according to the customs and a sign of respect to the hosting Nation and now we have to make a big issue out of Obama doing what just about everyone has done in past and will continue to do in the future? If he had worn a Sombrero in Mexico or a flower lei in Hawaii, would they have something against it?
For crying ouloud we have the Senator from Colorado, if I am getting this right ... Nighthorse Cambel? Please correct me if I am wrong. This man proudly wore his tribe's outfit to the Senate. People applauded.
