I have been into issue politics since Bush was selected by the Supreme Court. I don't know much about electoral politics, so I am here learning.
This is the first time I have followed a Presidential transition.
The Bush administration has destroyed this country and now I feel we all have to support Barack Obama to help put the pieces back together.

The no-FISA group created on Obama's social network has some pretty slick political trixters moderating it. People are talking about asking for their campaign contributions back, talking about voting for someone else etc. All that is fine with the moderators. However dare to say something negative about Hillary Clinton, and your post will either not show up or if it does you get attacked and called an Obamabot. There are ardent Clinton supporters in that group and they are using the FISA issue possibly for a floor fight on the convention floor. One woman (who was protected by the moderators) started a group at the DNC site for FORMER Obama supporters, and she is pro-Clinton all the way. She even belongs to a group to write Clinton in. Beware of the trixters. When you join a group, look to see if there is an alternative agenda that is not apparent up front.
Vlad Rudy Has Returned from the Fear Mongering Netherworld

While Senator Obama helps flooding victims in Iowa, and counsels hard-working college students who are having trouble managing their growing tuition debt, the McCain campaign, meanwhile, has cracked open the seal on their emergency Feargasm Lock Box and unleashed a terrible mythological force.

This is the first time in my entire life that I have felt such passion for a presidential candidate to win an election. I never before was interested, or didn't feel there was really any sort of difference between the two who were running.
But now it's different. Way different! This country is in big trouble in multiple different ways. When I hear Sen. Obama speak it's not political rhetoric that goes on all the time with politicians. When he speaks the things he talks about really hit home for me, and the changes he wants to make to the system are changes I have been so desperately wanting. Changes this country so desperately needs.
I just wish that there was a television station that everyone has access to that would show the candidates full public meetings instead of just a few minutes of them. So many people would learn a lot about Sen. Obama if they only had easy access to his messages. I just watched him speak to a small group of seniors in Columbus, OH on the internet and was blown away by his understanding of what we are experiencing these days.
I know it will take time for things to change for the better, but the only way it will change for the better is if Barack Obama is elected President of the United States.
God bless him!
