The simple truth eludes so many conservatives:
To say that a particular candidate lacks the experience to lead our nation is naive in it’s self. Nearly every Commander in Chief has drawn from the same pool of scholars and advisors since George Washington.
Take David Gergen as an example. He served as a Presidential advisor during the Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Clinton administrations. Although Mr. Gergen is identified as a Republican, his views and advice have been sought by many public officials and potential candidates.
The mark of an accomplished leader is their ability to surround themselves with the best advisors at their disposal; an educated President exhibits this one common trait. Each decision a President makes should be based upon the culmination of diversity found in the cabinet and panel of advisors.
To say that a particular candidate lacks the experience to lead our nation is naive in it’s self.
This truly concerns me.

Our President has alienated so many countries and their people; it would seem that Russia feels the need to rattle her saber. This is the last thing we need; a new Cold War.
Senator Obama, please take a stand on this issue and demonstrate that you do not lack the spine to confront such a threat. I realize that acknowledging bullies and terrorists often emboldens their cause. However, the moderate voter has voice concern in this regard. I worry that the Republican fear mongers will use this leverage to further their cause.
Again, Senator Obama, please address this issue rapidly!
My Father, an aging Naval Vet and lifelong Republican; has decided to change his party affiliation. During a Memorial Day bar-B-Q, he announced that he would be voting for Barack Obama.
Understanding this dynamic is more than just a Republican voting for a Democrat; this is real change of epic, individualistic proportion. His comment, “GWB is not the man I thought he would be and the Republican Party has lost its synergy”. WOW!
This gives me further hope that even lifelong conservatives realize the level of dysfunction that exists; after a mere six years.
I am sincerely proud of Barack Obama’s “no” vote on the War Spending Bill. Making the right decision, when potentially unpopular, is truly the mark of a leader.
Our great country was attacked under the watch of George Bush and his incompetent, unqualified opportunists; he appointed as an administration. Please don’t make me explain to my children ever again; why people would have to suffer for days without help; from something as simple as weather. I can not fathom how dysfunctional a truly catastrophic terrorist related disaster would be; given our current administrations repeated mismanagement and misappropriations.
My wife and I have entered the push for change - Obama in 2008!
