Don't forget to tell them to stay, don't leave.
I'm calling and telling people to bring snacks and something to read and to make sure their vote gets counted. Even if you get one voter out, you have made a difference.
If people say they have had other calls, don't be worried. I just put a smile in my voice and ask them to please chalk it up to our passion and the importance of this election!
Peace!

“You can feel in your gut that something is happening here.” Barack Obama 11/3/08
I am a 40+ white mother of three from Vermont. I work 12 hours a week in a hospital and a few hours a week for myself. I believe in Barack Obama. This is the first campaign I have ever volunteered for. In the last year this campaign has been such an important part of my life. But more importantly, it has shaped my three children's lives. They have learned the importance of acting on your beliefs and standing up for what you think is right. They have watched me call all over the country and travel to Rhode Island in the primaries and weekends in New Hampshire now. I'm proud of this campaign and proud of my local actions and their impacts on my children!
Let's All Give!!!! It can be: our time, our $, our hearts, our prayers, our phonecalls, our faith, our visits to states, our passion, our editorials... We all have something to give!!!
Peace! Fired up and ready to go and calling Virginia today!
Now is the time to speak the reality we wish to be.
Talk about what President Obama will do. Tell people what his presidency will do for your life and your children's lives. Be specific and realistic.
I know that the appointments he will make in the EPA will protect my family in Vermont by improving the environment here...
We need to let people know the difference he will be making!
All right gang! Just over weeks. Time to give it all we've got.
Alright friends, It's time to saddle up and get calling those next states. I called IN folks right until 8pm EST yesterday... and now of to West Virginia!
So far I've made 100's of calls to 10 states and volunteered in VT and RI. And I am going to keep calling EVERYDAY until November 08 when President Barack Obama wins the general.
How about you? Anyone want to go in with me?
Dear Friends, I've been calling NC today. Just got off the phone with a woman who couldn't believe that I was calling her from Vermont. "But that's a long distance call..."
I told her I was a mother of three who was volunteering to make calls because I really believed that Barack is going to make a huge difference for this country, for me and for my kids. We had a wonderful talk. Try calling, you'll like it!
I've got to get back to my calling goal of making calls EVERYDAY until he wins!!!Peace!
Dear Friends,
A great big thank you to Mike Jones for his advice to help me get calls thru. It's fun. Left some messages and just ended a call with a strong supporter. I'm learning a lot from reading up of Barack's Guam specific policies. Who knew the federal government owes them hundreds of millions of dollars...
It's day two of my pledge to make calls everyday. And I'm going strong.
Give calling a try! You'll like it!Peace!

"We say, we hope, we believe- YES WE CAN!" Obama March 4
Thank you to all for your efforts so far, let's keep giving all we can. To quote Obama "Now let's get to work."
I am going to keep passing on my hope to others and my faith to others!
We shall overcome...
We are not afraid...
We shall stand together...
We shall overcome!
I am with him when he is up and with him when he is down.
I am with him and YES WE CAN!
Fired up and ready to go!

Having returned to the blog after my trip, I just want to say: I am proud of you (us). We are talking the talk and walking the talk. Positive comments, polite disagreements. Welcoming others. Less troll talk. You guys rock!! I look forward to people viewing our site. Way to go!
Dear Friends, I'm back in the saddle! Home from my trip and ready to Barack the vote. Let's bring this thing home!!!
Dear Friends, Check out the events posting near you. It's amazing how many things that you can sign up for and do from your very own home! Many only take a few minutes to do but as we know Every Action Is Important!!
Dear Friends, I've been taking a break from Blog overload for the last few days. It's been good. I hoping that this week we will all make a big push for voter registration calls to PA. Deadline is March 24th.
Let's get calling!!!
It's already starting... let's keep it building!
Check the blogs for the Obama Change clips!
How about a massive community action event!!! Grassroots! Let’s Green Up America (Starting with PA). We can do it the weekend before their primary!!! Thousands and thousands of Obama volunteers in their Obama shirts all over PA. Talking the talk and Walking the walk!!! The blog loves it! Let's do it!!! Vermont has green up day. Been around for years, everyone gets out and cleans up all the roads. Peace! Vermont's Green Up Day began in 1970 when 70,000 Vermonters joined forces around the state to clean up roadside litter that had accumulated during the winter months. After 37 years, the Green Up legacy continues to foster the stewardship of the Vermont landscape. It's about far more than picking up highway litter and cleaning up public parks. Green Up Day is about people of all ages from all walks of life joining together in community spirit to take care of Vermont. It teaches our children pride and respect.
