It's very possible that many of you attended Obama's historic rally at Manassas, VA on November, 3 2008. This was historic for many reasons, but mostly because Virginians helped put Obama over the top and volunteers, like us from MD, succeeded in our volunteer efforts towards turning our closest neighbor into a BLUE State!! :)
I hope that you enjoy some photos in this slideshow that I'd like to share with you on this historic event. :)
Barack and Michele Obama, as responsible parents to their daughters, are now actively researching their first pet, which by default shall represent America's "First Dog" at the White House. :)
However, the breed must be "hypoallergenic", one with a special coat (usually long hair, not fur-like) in consideration to one of their daughters.
So the American Kennel Club recommended 5 breeds with its 1st POTUS POOCH POLL:
Dear Obama's, Please rehire Jim Johnson for this one!!! ;) Imo, your decision to choose a family pet to be America's 1st dog will be as important as choosing your VP!
So clearly, Obama should vet these breeds more seriuosly. ;)
Yesterday's DNC/RBC meeting to seat FL and MI represented the best,... and the worst, of the Democratic Party. But ion a whole, the RBC hearing further demonstrated why our Democratic Party, its leadership and our democracy is the most transparent and strongest in the world.
At DKos,thezzyzx posted a blog that explains why Icky was so Hill'bent on "leading" both Sen Clark Levin and Rep. Rob Wexler (FL) towards a discussion on "fair reflection".
The 4 extra delegates are a smoke screen

excerpt: "What was Ickes constant debating point during the arguments? Fair reflection. Over and over again it was stated that it wouldn't be consistent with fair reflection to assign the undecided delegates to Obama. If, as the other committee member stated, it was effectively moot, that undecided delegates would effectively become Obama delegates, why fight that so hard? There are two reasons for this, one obvious and one a little conspiratorial. Keeping the delegates as undecided creates more work for Obama. Even if all 55 of them went to Obama, he'd have to woo them and get them to go on the record as supporting him. That would mean that instead of this being wrapped up next week, it could take until July for him to reach the magic number. ... "

As once again, George W. Bush, holds OTHERS accountable for his gross negligence, persistent failures and mental deficiencies from a truly 'handicapped' leader.
Below is Keith Obermann's most powerful and historic "Special Commentary", yet to Bush's recent admission that the Iraq War has "handicapped" his golf game. (From his interview on Politico.com)
This number is simply shocking, but what makes this totally disgraceful is the failure of this Administration to properly provide care to those with PTSD, now!
And should we fail to change course and elect Barack Obama to the Presidency, imagine a protracted debacle of policy for another 100 years under a McCain Administration. We'll need to multipy that number by a factor of 20! ;/

Once the GE's get rolling, I'm positive that my even pup would campaign for Obama too, wearing sign around her harness that reads:
"Free licks for Obama!" :) (I'll even make sure to bring disposable towelettes!)

Why should Hillary command the high ground among single moms living at or near the poverty line? Imo, Obama should really address the concerns of single moms, both aggressively and directly.
I just read this at the Progressive Daily Beacon
The Enduring "Clinton Years" Legacy: The Feminization of Poverty By admin | April 24, 2008 snip~ "...Today, 53 percent of poverty-level families are headed by single-mothers. Only nine percent are headed by single males. The rest, obviously, are two-parent families. What's more, of all poor people in the United States, 61 percent of those over age 18 are women. By every economic measure, Bill Clinton's policies — especially his so-called welfare reform — have done more harm to American women than, perhaps, any president in the history of the United States...."

It's been almost 2 months since the Potomac Primaries. But surprisingly, just 2 weeks ago www.Webshots.com (ie. similar to Flikr, Photobucket) featured my photo of 2 very young Obama supporters, as its POTD (Photo Of The Day), which was taken at our "Circle of Hope" Obama Rally.

I'm honored! Better late than never! And I appreciate that they've recognised whose future we're especially working for. :)
So for my first blogtograph series, here's a slideshow of our day's event: :)
