Brian Schweitzer for Vice President
By

Here is why I support Obama picking Brian Schweitzer for Vice President.
Brian Schweitzer is the first term Governor of Montana and despite being a Governor or a red state has the highest approval rating in the country of 80%....75% of Montanans feel that Montana is on the right track while only 25% of Americans feel the country is...
He appeals to all the groups Obama isn't winning..
-Low Information voters
-Uneducated Voters
-Blue Collar voters
-Republican voters
-Independent Voters
-Pro-2nd Amendment Voters
-Get the Govt off our back voters
-Voters wanting someone who looks like an ordinary guy
-Voters who want someone who speaks in a very simple message
-Rural Voters
-Agricultural area voters
-Western Voters
-Southern Voters
-Voters wanting someone who doesn't give big speeches
I can't think of a better combination of two individuals to send to the middle east, to meet with these muslim nations in creating lasting peace in the middle east...
We will have:
PRESIDENT OBAMA
-Dark Skin
-African Surname
-Muslim Middle Name
-Muslim Parent
-Parent born outside the US
-Grew up in a poor Muslim country
-Wonderful guy
-Great Temperment
-Very calm
-Brilliant communicator
-Brilliant bringing together people with other points of view
-Represents the American Dream
-Represents change
-Voted against the Iraq War
VICE PRESIDENT BRIAN SCHWEITZER
-Lived in Saudi Arabia
-Speaks fluent Arabic
-Looks like an ordinary guy
-Had no role in Iraq war, was just governor of US state
-Calm temperment
-Great way relating to people...
-Responsible for making Saudi Arabia food independent
Brian Schweitzer can be the translator, he can speak in arabic to the arabic media...when you can speak other people's language they respect you..
Obama will be great at appealing to the younger generation in the middle east who are more moderate and want peace...
With Brian Schweitzer we can win 10 of the 13 western states....the ones we are already winning NM, CO, WA, OR, CA these 5....the 4 purple states we have small leads, NV, MT, ND, SD, and one red state AZ (sorry McCain)....
Not only that but as he is a farmer, wears western-wear and all, he would be the perfect person to spend a week in TX, going to all the rural and farm areas, they would see him as authentic as he is a rancher and he would appeal to these voters....He could also as he is endorsed by the NRA promote Obama's gun policies, make clear Obama will not take away everyones gun but we will have different policeis for rural areas, and big cities, and focus on lowering the amount of illegal guns that get into the hands of criminals.....
Between this and the $20M Lationos for Obama campaign which I think could give us 5 points in TX, we could gain 10 points there.....14 points with the voter drives...this would put us up double digits in TX which would effectively end McCain's campaign.....he then goes to the rural/farm areas of Indiana and Ohio....same thing....in the 10 western states mentioned he pushes huge voter drives there to gain 6 points not just for the Obama/Schweitzer ticket but those downt he ticket.....
NC/VA/SC we will have Tim Kaine campaigning for us there....we have NC by 9...after voter drives will be 13....campaigning 15...VA with Warner and Kaine we just need to gain 4 points by campaigning..based on their goals we will end up being up 10 points with the voter drives there so it will be a double digit win....If we can anticipate with the voter drives and all we will be up 8-12 points minimum in 10 of 13 western states (and generate enough interest in ID to gain a senat seat)....then the west is safe, McCain really can't contest it....
If we have all the blue and purple states in the west and one red (AZ), and we can lock up NC/VA by double more than double digits....really the only thing remaining is OH/FL/IN/MO....
All those that didn't support Obama in Ohio in the primary were in the rural areas, agricultural areas....Schweitzer goes on a farm tour and all, helps us with these voters...Ohio has early voting Sept 30 through October 6th where you can register and vote the same day...I think as a result of that we will gain 10 points in OH between the drives and people registering and voting the same day...if by October 6th we see with all the people that voted that week and registerd that week we gained 6 points....that means as long as we don't go down 6 in the poll for Nov 4 we win the state....If we gain another 6 with voter drives...that is 12 points, we are up 17 in OH, don't have to worry about it...
The only state to worry about is Florida where we are dead even...with the voter drives we will be up by 4....Bloomberg is an awesome surrogate...have the economic speech there with Bloomberg....He appeals to Jews, ex-NYers, Independents, and Seniors, key NY constituents....have a very strong focused campaign there to bring it into double digits..put a lot of resources..
We do this, it is over really for McCain..
With Obama having three strong debate performances every state except UTAH will be in play I feel....especially with turnout....
Schweitzer is great with a simple message speaking to the uneducated voters, low information voters...
The main criticism will be that with his western wear he is just this ordinary guy...but that will play into his strength that appeal....the same appeal that got George W. Bush into the white house...he will appeal to these same Independents that voted for Bush....
The whole western strategy will involve... VP Brian Schweitzer, Kathleen Sebeilus, Republican Senator Chuck Hagel, Tom Daschle, Janet Napolotino, Bill Richardson, etc... just going on a full out blitz..voter registrations and all..
My goals for the campaign is to gain another 8 points with registrations...13 million of them....register 8 million people in the July 5th to October __ period....Get 3 million people who would be prevented from voting as they are out of state set up to vote in their state or absentee....and net 2 million votes with the Americans abroad..if we do this, we net 8 points nationally over McCain and give all those down the ticket an 8% boost...
If we can get Obama 8 points nationally, McCain's chances go down 4X....If we gain 8 points nationally with registrations, plus the 4 pts we get from having Barr/Nader in the race..that is 12 points...that means the polls you see if goes to McCain by 12, we will still win...
After three strong debate performances in the polls (with the same group of voters as polled now) we will get up another 10, we will be up 17 points.....you 8 points with registrations, 3.5 from Barr/Nader...that is a 28.5 point lead....with turnout we could get up 35 points.....
That is really the goal...we need to blow McCain out by more then 30 points....
As far as the 8 points nationally with registration that would put is within 2 points of having the Senate be 67% Democrat, as long as there is a 2 point boost in a handful of states with turnout, Obama campaigning for them, those candidates rising, Obama rising 2 pts in the state, we will have a 67% Democrat Senate...
If Obama gains another 10 pts it will be huge..
We have the possibility of a 67% Democrat House and Senate..
Schweitzer would be the best guy to put against Romney...Romney will try and be an attack dog...Schweitzer is tough but comes off calm and cool, has great one liners....we will see this arrogant billionaire investment banker against an everyman and people will side with Schweitzer....
The media will love him...he can also present policies for the rural areas, agricultural areas...if we can lock down 10 of 13 states in the west, and get NC/VA up by double digits, and double digits in OH, it is really over for McCain...
Right now if we can get up in FL by 8 his chances really go to zero...
The key is unregistered voters....Republicans that cross over to vote for Obama is great, but these Republicans have no loyalty to Obama or the Democratic Party as they are not part of the Democratic Party..
Gaining 8 points with registrations is key as it helps those down the ticket, and helps the party long term...and those registering at an Obama booth, are younger voters that support Obama and support the party.....they are not going to cross over to McCain..
The Sept 30 to October 6th week where Ohians can vote early, we will reach everyone, flood ohio with volunteers, the media, calls etc...
It is pretty simple, if we get enough supporters to register dem and vote that week to give us another 5 points in the polls, and we have registered enough to vote through our volunteers to give another 5.....It is really over for McCain...he will lose by somewhere between 12-18 points..he can't contest the state...
If McCain loses Ohio, Obama is up by 12-15 in VA/NC and is holding onto these states....it is really over for McCain...
While he is busy taking back these states, we can take Florida...
