This is a brand new Ojai group started in response to the nomination of the Republican VP candidate and her andiluvian opinions. We need to address our sooooo important issues including CHOICE, EDUCATION, FEMINISM, REMUNERATION, ETC.
This group is for all moms, daughters of voting age, young, young at heart... momma is simply slang...a mere colloquial connitation... which applies to all those of the female persuasion, regardless of actual/biological motherhood experience.
It's soo wonderful that Gustav didn't turn out to be another Katrina! Our hearts go out to all those who evacuated and to all those terrific American Red Cross folks who are there helping out.

WEDNESDAY, September 4th will be POLICY NIGHT with STEPHEN ROSE & PETER STRAUSS from 6 - 7:30PM at our Obama office.
FRIDAY, September 6th at 5PM will be PIZZA,MUSIC & DISCUSSION with DAVID BUSH. It will be held at our Obama office.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY, September 7th and 8th at 5PM...yep, you guessed it - PHONEBANKING/CANVASSING.

WOW, we're finally here. Tonight, MONDAY, August 25th, our Democratic Convention will begin. MICHELLE OBAMA will be a keynote speaker. This morning, during a walk through, 6 year old Sasha Obama got to whack the gavel; tonight will be Michelle's turn.

Tuesday, August 19th and Thursday, August 21st, we'll be phone banking/canvassing from 5-8PM. Bring your cellphones.
Wednesday, August 20th, will be a policy meeting with Stephen Rose and Peter Strauss from 6-7:30PM. We had a pithy discussion last week...more to come.
Friday, August 22nd, promises to be a fun TGIF again with music, pizza and informal discussion with David Bush.
Saturday, August23rd and Sunday, August 24th, we'll be CANVASSING to register voters. We had a great time on Sunday meeting and registering friendly, fellow Ojaians.

Tonight, Saturday, August 16th at 5PM on CNN, we'll have our very first opportunity to see Our Obama and J. McCain respond to questions from Rick Warren about policy issues, character and faith. Warren is the pastor of Saddleqback Church in Orange County and the that's where this historical first general election meeting will be held .
We won't be canvassing until Sunday, August 17th at 5PM. We'll meet at our Ojai Obama Office. We need your help to seek out undecideds and convince them to vote for Our Candidate. Come on over and join us!
Sunday morning, we'll be registering voters at the Ojai Farmers' Market too. Stop by and say hi.

Well, things are really starting to pop now that we're approaching Election Day. Today, it's Voter Registration at the Ojai Farmers' Market. Monday, Dorothy Wallstein is hosting a Platform Planning session. On Wednesday, July 23rd there will be a Congressional District 24 Meeting in Camarillo. You're welcome at each and every event!
Now, the really big news! On August 4th, in celebration of Senator Obama's Birthday we'll be hosting the Grand Opening of our very own Ojai Obama Field Office!!! Do join this awesome celebration.

Tomorrow, you'll have your historic opportunity, as a citizen of the United States, to attend our own Congressional District 24 meeting and show your support for our illustrious candidate Barack Obama. You'll be able to vote for your Candidates to be Delegates to the National Democratic Convention.
I'm one of those hopeful candidates and I'd sure appreciate your vote. I'm such an Obama Mamma and am so enjoying campaigning on his behalf. Every morning I put on my Obama button and head to Ojai Coffee Roasting Co. to Silently Campaign for him. My Obama Mamma mustang with Blue Ribbons for Barack flowing in the breeze and signs for Obama08 festooning the car announce Our Obama all over town. Early on I began Ojai for Obama. I've had so much fun Bannering, Postcarding, Telephoning and Tabling for him. I've enjoyed attending Rallies and Parties for him. We even had an Obama Country Concert at my ol' cabin for him; a truly memorable afternoon. I've made so many wonderful new friends who share my enthusiasm for Barack Obama for President.
He gets it. He cares about all of us, both rich and poor. He will help our economy recover. He'll restore our international reputation; we'll be so proud when he represents us all over the world. He's a true humanist and communicates how much he cares to world leaders, little children, old people and just plain folks like us.
Such fun!!! Music by Fred Schmitt, Emmy Reynolds, Piper Denny & Julie Christensen was beyond awesome! We did gobs of Postcards for Pennyslvania! Julie shared how she shook Barack's hand; He look directly into her eyes and she could see his sincereness and how He wants the very best for our country. She became an immediate convert. Fred relayed how they attended the Obama Ralley at Santa Barbara City College; and how he asked an Obama Dude if Barack could sign Lynn's Constitution. The Dude chased after Barack and came back with Barack's Signature on the Constitution; So super! Julie sang a song about how a wounded Veteran's Mom didn't recognize him upon his return - tears in My eyes.
We're famous! Our Concert was on the Nat'l Blog, Friday, March 28th. Only 4 were listed. On Saturday, All across America, Obama supporters Partied and Postcarded for Barack!!! So amazing to realize that so many Americans were working for Our Obama on Saturday; we're among some pretty terrific folks!

Happy First Day of Spring! Lots of surfers out there today but, just small, nicely formed waves; with my Blue Ribbons for Barack soaring in the breeze on my car antenna, I just blew back to Ojai from SBCC in my Obama Mamma vehicle, my lil' black mustang.
As easy (understatement) as it is to get distracted (race, religion), we must FOCUS on the issues, registering voters and calling possible Pennsylvania Barack Believers.
According to today's NYTimes, Clinton Facing Narrower Path to Nomination, Our O'Bama has 700,000 votes out of 26 million cast, excluding caucuses and the Florida/Michigan results. With 10 contests remaining, he leads by 150 delegatees out of 2,025 needed to secure the nomination.

Well, by now even the glimmering, melting snow on the branches of the Tennessee golden maple trees has disappeared. I saw what I thought was a new type of tree with puffy, cottoney blossoms, but they turned to be the usual locust trees festooned by the tornado...so sad.
I hope your telephoning is going just great. Yesterday, I encouraged English/Spanish Tejanos to vote for Barack...nlice folks.
Tomorrow Hawai'i votes. I've enjoyed surfing their websites, even joined Kaua'i for Obama and West Hawaii Obama Supporters. On the North Shore of Oahu there's awesome surf, 13-14foot waves; let's go for it...just kidding. I plan to be sooo proud when Hawai'i Native Son, Barack Obama, is President of our United States of America!
