Someone posted a link to the online petition to the Super Delegates asking them to back Obama. So, I went over and signed it electronically and added my own personal message at the end:
"Hello, I'm a lifelong Democrat. I've always believed in our party's platform and always voted for the Democrat on the ticket, but this the first time in my life that I have ever cared so much about a candidate during the primary season. I have never felt more inspired and more proud to be a Democrat, to be an American, than when I hear Obama speak. He has a vision that unites and it is a wonderful message that will finally win independents and even Republicans over to our progressive mission of improving the lives of everyday Americans.
Obama '08 Please Dare to Believe and Lend your Support to His Campaign"
Obama YES WE CAN!
I'm disappointed but, of course, we need to move on and focus on the upcoming elections. This primary season, I'm doing something that I never have done before. I'm donating money to the campaign. I'm not in a position to travel or canvass, but this is something I can do.
It's the night before New Hampshire's primaries. I am excited because the polls are showing Obama up 10 points over Clinton in the most recent polls. I believe we can win NH and that this momentum will continue to grow - why? - well, I think that there are a lot of people out there who just need to believe that this is a viable candidacy for them to move their vote this direction.
