People have moved on to health care now. And we affordable health care for everyone but what about "creating new jobs" , was that lost somewhere?

There are existing companies that would rehire employees back if the economy would improve, these employees have been trained and have worked for years at a job that is vital to this nation.

If no one has a job how can they afford government run health care, it would need to be free or only the people that can afford it would have it, sounds like what we already have, and if it is free we already have that-its called WELFARE which is funded by the government which is funded by the taxpayers who have jobs.

I know that THIS President can do more than one thing at a time ( thank goodness we finally got a President with an IQ over 50) but let us not forget about jobs, I have lost count of the unemploed now what is it 3 or 4 million people without a paycheck? WE NEED JOBS!!!!!

UNITED AUTO WORKERS UNION

Is fighting for the jobs of thousands and thousands of people and the millions it will effect if General Motors starts bring all their auto's from overseas.
DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE FIGHTING FOR YOU?

The UAW and other unions have been given a bad rap over the years by people who do not know what they are talking about. My husband's Dad was seriously injured in a farm accident a few years ago, he recieved a call at work ( GM ) his supervisor told him if he left he would be fired, he went and talked to the union steward who told him to go be with his Dad and family and not worry about his job. When he came back to work a few day's later-he still had his job.

The Union fights for your rights, how many people have been fired by a bully supervisor and had no recourse.
It's been reported that employees make loads of money, I beleive some people pulled pulled a figure out of the air of $78.00 per hr. these are the people who know ZERO about what they are talking about.

What concerns me the most is when the Auto Industry is no more in America that China will be making our military equipment because if there is a national crisis the Auto Manufacturers can retool a plant overnight to make our defense equipment, do we really want China, Mexico, India doing this. So please support us in our effort to keep manufacturing jobs here in AMERICA after all, it was the Auto Industry that built middle class America, NOT WALL STREET PAPER PUSHERS. THANK YOU. UAW AND DAMN PROUD OF IT.

I know this man has been told that he is no longer VP, and that his keys to the White House was confiscated but he will not give it up.
And maybe the reason his former boss GWB has kept his mouth shut is because he knows that the torture was criminal.

Cheney, take a cue from GWB go and write your book , President Obama already has a VP, and you don't play well with others. You have a legacy alright but it is not the one you wanted.

That out of every dollar that General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler makes .86 cents is invested back into the United States, and for every dollar of the combined Foreign auto companies make they invest .14 cents back into the United States?

Foreign auto makers have flooded the market and 50% of Americans buy them, and please don't comment that foreign cars are made better, that has been disproven over and over again, so, America who are you going to support, America or Japan, China, Korea?

BUY AMERICAN WHEN YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIGHT HARD FOR US UNITED AUTO WORKERS, NO ONE ELSE IN AMERICA IS LISTENING TO US OR IS GOING TO HELP US, WE ARE ON OUR OWN.

MY HUSBAND IS A GENERAL MOTORS RETIREE, THIS WEEK THE UAW WILL AGAIN RENEGOTIATE CONTRACTS. GENERAL MOTORS WANTS TO CLOSE 16 PLANTS DOWN IN THE UNITED STATES THAT MEANS ANOTHER 21,000 WOEKERS OUT OF A JOB NOT TO MENTION THE RIPPLE EFFECT IT WILL HAVE ON THE SUPPLIERS AND THE TOWNS THAT LIVE ON THE TAX DOLLARS.

GENERAL MOTORS WANTS TO IMPORT CARS FROM MEXICO, CHINA, KOREA AND OTHER COUNTRIES. MR. PRESIDENT IS THIS THE WORK OF YOUR APPOINTED CAR CZARS? IT IS THE WORK OF TREASURY SECRETARY TIM GEITHNER AND NATIONAL ECONOMIC COUNCIL LARRY SUMMERS.

IS THIS WHAT YOU MEANT BY HELPING MAIN STREET AND NOT WALL STREET? MR. PRESIDENT WHAT MAIN STREET IN WHICH COUNTRY? ARE YOU GOING TO RAISE THE CORPORATE TAX ON GENERAL MOTORS IF THEY IMPORT THESE VEHICLES FROM OTHER COUNTRIES? THEY CAN HIRE WORKERS IN MEXICO FOR WHAT $25.00 A DAY?

MY HUSBAND GETS $700.00 PENSION A MONTH FROM GENERAL MOTORS AND WE PAY FOR OUR MEDICAL INSURANCE, RETIREES AND EMPLOYEES OF THESE AUTO COMP. ARE NOT RICH , ONLY THE WHITE SHIRTS ARE.

WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR SPEECH ABOUT MAIN STREET? DID IT GET SIDE TRACKED BECAUSE OF WALL STREET. YOU SAID THE BIG BONUSES AIG GAVE OUT WAS LEGALLY BINDING BECAUSE THEY WERE CONTRACTS, WHAT ABOUT OUR CONTRACTS?

YOU HAVE APPOINTED A CZAR FOR THIS AND A CZAR FOR THAT, DON'T YOU THINK WE HAVE TOO MANY CZARS IN WASHINGTON AS IT IS? LET THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE TAKE A PAY CUT, LET THEIR MEDICAL INSURANCE BE CANCELLED , THEY SERVE ONE TERM AND THEY HAVE A PENSION FOR LIFE.
I KNOW YOU WANT TO GET YOUR HEALTH COVERAGE AGENDA APPROVED BUT THERE IS A CRISIS NOW, YOU NEED TO HELP MAIN STREET, US , THE PEOPLE WHO PUT YOU IN THE WHITE HOUSE. YOUR CZARS ARE SELLING OUT AMERICAN FACTORY JOBS RIGHT ALONG WITH GENERAL MOTORS.

THE ONLY VOICE WE HAVE OUT THERE IS THE UAW, THAT ALSO STANDS FOR UNITED AMERICAN WORKERS, MAYBE WE NEED TO CHARTER BUSES AND CARRY SIGNS IN WASHINGTON TO HAVE OUR VOICES HEARED BECAUSE YOUR APPOINTED CZARS ARE SELLING US OUT.

I VOTED FOR YOU , THE LAST TIME I VOTED WAS IN 1976, I BELEIVE IN YOU. YOU CAN HELP US NOW ARE SUPPORT US LATER, OUR CHOICE WOULD BE TO GO TO WORK AND EARN AN HONEST DAYS PAY AND KEEP JOBS IN AMERICA, HELP US, TIME IS RUNNING OUT. THE DIFFERENCE IN MAIN STREET AND WALL STREET IS WALL STREET HAS BEEN GIVING A BLANK CHECK, LETS LET THEM FAIL, LET AIG AND BANK OF AMERICA FAIL, IF YOUR GOING TO LET AN AMERICAN MANUFACTURER THAT BUILT MIDDLE AMERICA FAIL THEN LETS LET ALL OF THEM FAIL.

THE AUTO INDUSTRY

IF YOU THINK YOUR JOB IS SAFE BECAUSE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AUTO INDUSTRY THINK AGAIN. THE TOWNS THAT THESE MANUFACTURERS ARE IN, THE SUPPLIERS, THE DEALERSHIPS ARE GOING TO HURT BADLY.
THE CLEANERS, GROCERY STORES, DEPARTMENT STORES, CLINICS, HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, SHOPPING MALLS, TECHNOLOGY STORES, TECHNOLOGY MANUFACTURERS, STEEL PLANTS, THE TAXES IN WHICH THESE TOWNS COLLECT IN ORDER TO EMPLOY FIREMAN, POLICEMAN, MEDICS.

JUST LOOK AT THE ENTIRE STATE OF MICHIGAN, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT EIGHT YEARS AGO BEFORE BUSH AND HIS CRONIES TOOK THE ECONOMY DOWN THAT THIS STATE WOULD HAVE THE UNEMPLOYMENT THAT IT HAS TODAY? THRIVING TOWNS ARE NOW GHOST TOWNS. IT LOOKS LIKE THE ONLY CITY THAT WILL STILL BE STANDING WILL BE NYC, BECAUSE THEY SELL PAPER-MAKE BELEIVE.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE PRIDE OF BUYING AMERICAN? WHAT HAPPENED TO KEEPING JOBS HERE IN AMERICA? AMERICANS HAVE MADE CHINA A RICH COUNTRY, AND I INCLUDE MYSELF IN THAT, HOW SAD THAT THE GREED FOR BIG PROFITS HAS REPLACED AMERICAN PRIDE.

Did you make General Motors President Rick Waggoner resign? Did it make a difference? No it did not! The idiot that is in there now ( which I'm sure was placed there by your money guru- Tim Geithner) is not doing much to boost consumer confidence when he keeps saying that bankruptsy is probably going to happen.
While your giving BILLIONS of our money to banks over and over again you are letting an American manufacturer
who employs thousands of people and is connected to millions more go down the tubes. I campaigned for you, I blogged my heart out for you, I alienated family members because I beleive in you, if you think the unemployment numbers are high now just wait.
So Mr. President you can help us now or help us later, helping us later will be more costly- we will apply for unemployment, food stamps, medicade, maybe the government will pay our mortgages OR maybe we can apply for a job at a bank, we know they will stay in business because the federal government will see to that with my money. I know this did not start on your watch, but it is what it is and I suspect half of the million new voter registrations that you aquired were a result of these hard working UAW members, remember your promise to us Mr. President!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the DNC cannot do something about spammers then I will not be back on this site, the spammers are taking up page after page with JUNK! But that is probably what the spammers( I'm sure they are Republicans running scared) want.

TEXAS UAW AND PROUD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The middle class was built by hard working AMERICAN men and women generations ago, their sweat and blood was the reason people could live the American dream and have a home, a nice car send your kids to college, retire knowing that you earned it and worked for it and nobody was giving you anything for free.

But if the Auto industry goes down so will the last American Made Manufacturer.
The loss of tax revenue alone will be a hard hit to the government, state and federal, the domino effect it will have will be unstoppable.

The government will have to throw up makeshfit unemployment offices overnight, the welfare lines and food stamp offices will not be able to keep up and the cost to the American taxpayer will be nothing like we have ever seen before because Washington will need help from you, again and again and again.

John Rich may have campaigned for McCain but his song rings true-"IN THE REAL WORLD THEIR SHUTTING DETROIT DOWN", HE SAYS THE MIDDLE CLASS DON'T BUY MAKE BELEIVE, WELL THEY HAVE BEEN ON WALL STREET and we the taxpayers have rewarded them for it, the very banks our tax dollars helped or shutting their fancy office doors in our faces.

" KAY " from Michigan, my husband is retired from GM and we are bracing ourselves for his "small" pension check to be cut off and even though we pay for the healthcare that too will probably be gone.
