wow we did it! it was a lot of work but i am so happy I helped work on this campaign and that we elected Obama as president! Congratulations Obama and your family, all the great supporters, your great team, and America!
I hope this will not be the end of bottom up unity! I hope Obama will find a way to keep his supporters conected to his presidency and policy service.
We are in great Position to put the person this country needs in the whitehouse, but it will not be easy we have to keep working GET OUT THE VOTE! This campaign has the greatest supporters in the world,simply amazing from every part of this country, and Senator Obama is going to represent that diversity and UNITY of our nation, he wlll always work tirelessly for the American people, and he will always be honest with the American people about what we are facing. These are hard times, and Obama knows it, he understands, he gets it. He is going to have a lot, alot to handed to him; two wars that have a lot of problems, the economy, homes being lost, jobs, the debt! yeah and we need jobs and clean energy too. its a lot, it is, and you know, I know, we all know, that senator Obama is the right person to take on this challenge with us! these things have been lagging and brewing under the neglect and ideology of the past 8 years so It will be hard, but Obama is up to the task, he is ready, willing, and able to lead us through the trouble, to take it on and to change politics, and use his smarts, his heart, and his love for this country to make America strong!
Now lets get the VOTE OUT!
This is the greatest campaign, candidate, supporters, volunteers and workers that I have ever seen! The organization is amazing, as is the drive, the belief, and the determination! I am so proud to be part of this campaign! Now we have to keep it going! We have to drive! We all know we can do it, we have one more week, a week that means so much where we can really turn it on to see everything we are working for come to fruition.
What it takes is now more, more than before more than anyone else has done or will do, for we are all making history here, this chance will not come again, this moment is special and will not happen again, the country needs this, we need this, our friends, family and future needs this. the opposition is really coming out now, it will not be easy, its getting tough out there! we cannot let the opposition destroy our country, we cannot let them destroy the dreams yet to be born.
if we ask, if there is a difference between the polices of Al Gore and George Bus, I am sure we all say yes, and we sigh thinking of how close that was! And I think now, we all would if given the chance go back in history and work ten, twenty, a hundred times harder to give Al Gore the turnout and victory in that 2000 election! History teaches u s that an election is so much more than we realize at the time. This election too will mean so much more, and we have seen our excitement, the countries excitement, we want this election, we want this person in the whitehouse!
Just thinking about the economy, I think of the internet, the jobs of the future that high speed broad band will be bringing us, bringing us if we have the right person in the whitehouse! Obama is net and tech savvy, to the extent that he uses it, he is curious about it, he supports it, and he has the most tech savvy organization ever! This is who I want runnign the country, a person that has that curiosity fire, and keen intellect who can see the benefits of a wide open internet, or supporting technology, education and green future, a future that will mean better environment, jobs, and opportunity! I will just add that the other candidate has never even used a computer! i am sorry but a mind be so removed and out of touch can not really be where it needs to be to face the challenges of NOW and next year, and to see around the corner, to know what sacrifices we will take on, what will pan out to be great goodly things that we do now for this countries future; for the children!
the opposition has a different view, they want to try the same thing again that we have seen over the last 8 years, and not only does it not work, but they have nothing that looks ahead, nothing optimistic or growing and alive, but they have a determination to stop us. I know they can not , not if we give everything we have, when we know how much this means, when we know how much this means, we must not falter, we can not afford failure, there is no back-up plan for our country, we need to do this for you, me, and everyone in this country, we must come through!
We have to be determined and we have to take ownership of this election, this is crunch time, this as Magic Johnson says, "Is Winning Time" that means time to give everything we have to see our dreams come true and love every second of it. There are those who say we can't do it, they say we will stop trying at the end, that we can't close the deal, and the opposition will be out like never before, we have to be better than anyone has ever done before, that is what it takes to make history. I know we can do it, i know we can, and what we have to do, is everyone has to keep doing what they are doing, we have to drive it, we own this election, this is ours, its our time, and we are going to fight harder, work longer and do everything we can, because this time we will not let anyone stop us, lets win this thing! YES WE CAN!
Obama has innovative curiosity that our country needs to compete in the world!
We cannot afford to be held back by old disproven suppositions, we need Obama because he like you and I. believes in he future of this country and that our country must be involved the top technology and science challenges, that we must have a open internet and access to all people in our country, and that education equals more and better job opportunities. No one can give us jobs, or educations, but the right president helps make it available to us, has the same interest in the next developments in technology and innovation, and has a mind burst with the creativity and belief that we can make things happens, that the best of us is when all of us together, are united in the belief that none of us can afford to let our friends and neighbors not make it, that we must take ownership of our future, and this is something we can do when we have the right partners sitting in the Whitehouse an congress! Just one feature is that after Obama is elected he will greatly increase transparency in government as well as simplifying the obtuse government websites! there is no reason why the government should have sites that are full of tremendous information, but which is exhaustingly impossible to navigate for lack of intuitive design and poor search capabilities. our future, our technology, our education and jobs, these are not simply things that one can toss some money at and have someone else "fix it" these things, like most things in our life, work real wonders, captivate us and surprise us and offer up the true bounty when there is something put into from people with great interest, with a thirst for knowledge and in the case of Obama a person who helps inspires us that we can risk dreaming and hoping and we can risk trying, that we can put all of ourselves into something, because we know that we have a common ground, a common interest that drives us to allowing our best energies to spark, that encourages us that we can make the world a better place and make the country something that reflects more what we would hope it can be, of the best of all of us.
No one person can do it alone, and Obama has made it this far by all the people that have helped him, all the supporters, and volunteers and people in his family and life. Obama is doing his part and we are doing ours as well. Now when he is elected there will be another part for all of us. And that is we must not stop dreaming and doing, and being the great creative people that we are. We all want change, and we all want a better country that reflects our best dreams and aspirations. Obama and the congress will do their part and we must do ours. Part of it is to continue to support them as well as s to tell them what we are concerned about it is important to be organized, and to keep in mind how great it feels to be giving, in so many ways to this campaign. How good that feels, to do something for the country and other people. This is something we will need to continue to do to make this country as great as it can be. There is no stopping us! We have seen so much creativity in his campaign, and we need to see it after Obama is in the Whitehouse. People will be given new opportunities to do this during the Obama administration. This election is about us, and we have to take some ownership after Obama is in Office. He can’t do it all. We can not sit back and wait for everything to arrive on our doorstep!
One of the problems in the past has been the slowness of government! We need people that can think, work, and interconnect at today’s speeds, like the speeds of business and the speeds of the internet age. This is the moment we will remember for a long time, this is the moment that we must have, for us to have the future that we all envisioned, but seemed trapped in the past 8 years in some sort of horrible fugue, that time is over! This is now the time that we the people can have the best shot at remaking life and this government with our input, our interests, and our creativity! but for now we MUST GET OUT THE VOTE BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!
McCain is acting like Bush once again and yet he still wonders why he is going to lose when he lies and acts so cynically and pretends that he cares about us when he will do anything, any old trick to get to get himself elected, but not one new idea of how to make this a better country.
It is up to us Obama people to get the truth out to Everyone about these lies, and present Obamas empowering message of change for the betterment of this country and all Americans!
last night we worked registerign new young voters, andthey were so full of excitment to vote this year, it is really thrilling and excitting to see the hope, and and energy that these kids bring!
we need leadership on this we need a bold move to the left we need FDR not GWB! I fear the dems are selling us out on this one, the rehashed bailout bill, where the heck is the party of the middle and working class on this? this slightly changed bill is a republican bill slighty dressed up by the democrat senate and it stinks. this makes me wonder why i have been supporting the democrats for the ellection if they are going to be moving to the right when it really matters the most? we need the democrats to move left, move left and the people are with you! yes fix the banks, no dont give them everything, yes make progress and programs for the people! the president has to sign this bill, we should be putting in things for the people, education, housing, health care, jobs, and regulation. this bill stinks! this is a bill for bankers not for the public! this bill will shrink the economy, growth comes from jobs, education, good health care, infrastructure. we have the power, they are crawling to us, we need to use our control and power to fix this the way we want it fixed. we can tell the bankers how to behave. one by one lets go through the banks just like FDR did, and either fix them or shut them down based on the shape they are in and based on their practices. we need a new new deal, ground up, not trickle down.
I admire your leadership and Support Obama for President, However I did not like the Bill that was voted down. I think we can have a Bill that helps shore up the industry and also helps the normal hard working person in this country. we should help people with foreclosure, and protect the tax payer and give some work programs to the public as well as to limit the funds going into the bailout, and to limit who gets the money and not allow for people pay himself million's while taking the bailout. despite what was said i do not believe the failed bill was much more than window dressing on these issues. it also has to put money into the system, and to address jobs, welfare, social security, we need to put it in this Bill now or it will not get done latter. We need a new New Deal- I believe we must address the problems in the bill and to fix it rather than just handing over the money and hoping that there will be change because there will be no change without making it in writing and we need to protect everyone and not just bail out wall street. the economy is going to hurt more and it hurts now, normal people need help with their homes, and normal people like me and my girlfriend who are hoping to get married and to be able to afford a home are having a rough time. i work hard and am a trained paralegal and yet the best jobs i get are temporary, they pay OK but the problem is no health insurance. I think we need to address a number of issues for people like me, people that work hard and love this country and need to see some social programs that help us. I am also interested in the college education for our country, we can't fall behind. I believe we need a way, perhaps pay credits with service,not military service although that counts too, but service to community and country, i would like to see each state have at least one sate university that federal credit can be applied to to pay for college. when people have jobs, and education and are healthy we see our creativity and economy grow, and people have the money to power the economy. I hope to see leadership for the shrinking middle class and working class that we need on this bill and these issues, and i believe democrat unity on these issue swill help all of us and will help propel Obama into the white-house!
